(06-27) 07:30 PDT (AP) -- ^Supreme Court gives go-ahead for school vouchers, lowers wall between church and state=
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Constitution allows public money to underwrite tuition at religious schools as long as parents have a choice among a range of religious and secular schools, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday.
The 5-4 ruling led by the court's conservative majority lowers the figurative wall separating church and state and clears a constitutional cloud from school vouchers, a divisive education idea dear to political conservatives and championed by President Bush.
Opponents call vouchers a fraud meant to siphon tax money from struggling public schools.

Opponents call vouchers a fraud meant to siphon tax money from struggling public schools.Don't you love the way this liberal scumbag AP writer ended this short piece?
Nowhere does the piece indicate why so many people support the voucher idea so that they may have a choice of where to send their children to school, with their own tax dollars.
Scumbag Associated Press puke.

For those of you angry with the editorializing by AP, MSNBC and others, don't whine... raise HELL with these organizations.

Before everyone goes off into hosannahs be aware that these vouchers will just as easily subsidize the funding of private Left wing schoolsThat is worse than public left wing schools?

Gee, you mean we're allowed to make our own choices! How revolutionary!

Notice how careful the newsroom whores are to avoid the phrase, "The liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals" when mentioning the ban of the Pledge of Allegiance?
Get this: our local scumbag liberal toilet paper (The Courier Times of Bucks County) has a front-page story on the Pledge decision which begins, "Stunning politicians on both the left and right, a federal appeals court declared...."
See how this liberal newspaper's first instinct is to cover for the scumbag liberals who nominate and appoint judges exactly like the ones who made this decision? Puke.

You've always had the choice. Now you can get someone else to pay for it.

But actually I bet the Democrats will try and lump the Pledge ruling and the Voucher ruling together and say how goofy how court system is. What is the Democrats' greatest strength? Preying on the ignorant. So by constantly linking the two decisions, they hope to discredit by counting on most of their constituency not realizing how different the courts are that made the decision.

What the Federal Government funds, the Federal Government controls.... Now we should push for "no strings attached legislation".

The fact that only a handful of secular schools and no suburban public schools have signed up to accept voucher students is not the fault of the program itself... Common sense is infiltrating the Church-State debate.
To: justshutupandtakeit
If that is how parents wish for their children to be educated, then we have to let them use the vouchers for that school. I might disagree with it, but they do have that right.

Who's whining?
It is always instructive to point out the left-wing biases of the scumbag liberal newsrooms.
But "raising hell" with these organizations is counterproductive, in my opinion. Like pissing into the wind.
This is such fantastic news!!!
Time to celebrate :-)

You've always had the choice. Now you can get someone else to pay for it.What do you mean?
Do you mean people who chose to send their kids to non-government schools before didn't have to pay taxes to the government schools?

The 5-4 ruling led by the court's conservative majority Interesting that I don't remember a similar type phrase when the death penalty ruling of last week was announced...
