So they ought not take their boys to a fair? The boys deserve to go on outings with their parents, imo.

...I'm in Washington... Not in Spokane by any chance? Do you have a basement? (Just kidding!)
I was reading about the "Expensive homes used to grow dope, U.S. attorney says" article on another thread.

My comment not directed to "It's me" directly, just the fair goers' thoughtlessness around the boys.
To: Rheo
It was a bad joke. Sorry. I have good friends in Washington ... salt of the earth type folks.

I agree, that person who offered "support" was off the wall.

...the fair goers' thoughtlessness around the boys. That was totally unforgivable! I feel so sorry for those boys.

It's true and all over. Big closets with grow lights galore. My late electrician dad-in-law came upon a few in that area in Princeton NJ off the Great Road -- multi-million dollar houses.
On the other hand, pot should be legal and stamped. Like tabakky.

Maybe that 'splains how some folks pay for those multi-million dollar houses?

Cadaver Dogs can consistently correct in detecting "cadaver scent" in 2.5-3 hours after death.
Cadaver Scent Project
TRIALS BEGUN: January 1997
NUMBER OF DOGS USED: Five different dogs
POST-MORTEM INTERVAL RANGE: From 70 minutes to 3 days
NUMBER OF TRIALS COMPLETED: As of July 1997, total of 52 trials completed
PRELIMINARY RESULTS: The shortest post-mortem interval for which we received a correct response was one hour and 25 minutes. However, the post-mortem interval for which we received a consistently correct response from all dogs involved is 2.5 - 3 hours.

A man walked up to them and just said, "Fools!" and walked on. Another woaman said, loud enough for them to hear, "Perverts." As hard as this is on the boys, it may be better than not hearing it. It gives them an opening to talk about their parents to a counselor, at some point in the future, when they have the ability to throw off those louses of parents.

That's amazing. Thanks for looking it up. I was afraid I would learn more than I wanted to know.

POST-MORTEM INTERVAL RANGE: From 70 minutes to 3 daysDoes this indicate that a scent over three days old is undetectable? The volunteer cadaver dog that Frazee says did his stealth "hit" on the MH storage compartment performed on 2/6.

No, except indirectly as a adjunct to "networking". Maybe some money in the pot, but these people no Great Gatsby's running rum to be in with the swells. Some came from swell lines already, all had no lack of money with pot or without.

So they ought not take their boys to a fair? The boys deserve to go on outings with their parents, imo. Sorry, obviously I didn't make myself clear. My daughter was disturbed at how unfazed the van Dams appeared. They did not seem upset or distraught.
I think that if my daughter was murdered, and the accused was on trial, I wouldn't go to the fair. If I wanted my sons to go, to have a somewhat "normal" life, I would have asked a friend to take them. I couldn't see going to the fair while mourning my murdered child.
Could you?

Do you think it is possible Damon and Brenda will straighten up and fly right? I don't think they were as bad parents as most here do. Self-indulgent, to be sure. Still hanging on to the partying as if they were in college, plus the repulsive swapping business.
But it is clear they were very involved in their children's lives. Let me tell you, being cookie mom for the brownies is no small task and not one an indifferent mother would take upon herself.
