..Eric asked us to pray for him, that he would be shielded from the language, and the sexual jokes, and that he would remain strong, but he also asked for prayer for the guys he's witnessing to, that they would understand their need for Christ. He's absolutely sure that he's where God wants him to be, and he's having a great time! PRAISE THE LORD!! .. He, (and you all) has been on my prayer list, but I will now add this special request, as well.
You must be, and certainly have every reason to be, very proud of your fine son. What an example he is.
I pray that God will use him and bless him during his service to our Country.
Thanks for the fine job you did.

How fortunate for America that he is where he is - but how tough for you......He is what our country is all about.Yes, tough for me, FWI, but much easier knowing he's so happy! (And two weeks of the first nine are over!! Yessss!!!)
Thanks for the prayers and support lodwick and MamaBear! I figure there's a parallel between the military and heaven........you feel a whole lot differently about it when you know and love someone who's there! :o)
My prayers for the men and women who serve in the military (and their families) have certainly intensified since Eric joined!

BTW, I will be posting a flag graphic and the Pledge of Allegience in Post #1 tomorrow when I start the thread. That is an excellent idea. Is it okay if I use the one you posted earlier - post #74?
