Nonsense. Every child who's parents cannot afford to send them to non-government schools, but must send them somewhere at the point of a gun is forced to say the pledge. Little children cannot opt out due to pressure from teachers and other children. Grow up.

Only in your deluded mind. Most parents willingly send their children to public schools and the best of those parents teach their children to stand up for what they beieve in. Mine did for me, I did for my kids and my kids will do the same for my grandkids.

Compulsary schooling is immoral.

Blah, blah, blah, same sh4t different day. I repeat public schools are the public square. Care to address that point?

Compulsary schooling was never supported by Jefferson or Madison.

Same strawman, different day. Your namesake was a strident supporter of public education. I suggest you change your nome de guerre. Perhaps you might even use your own name. It is after all, a free country.:-}

My cause? What might that be? Try to avoid speculating.

Compulsory eduation. LOL The debate is centered on a Federal Court telling public school districts that they are forbidden to use the word God in reciting the pledge. Compulsory education is your strawdog. I'm a Christian and I didn't stay home. I won't be staying home this time either.

Harry Brown will be glad to hear it, as for me I could care less.

Most parents willingly send their children to public schools

You are delusional. As usual. Most parents send their children to government schools because they are forced at gunpoint to pay for it even if they do not want to send them there. Let parents opt out of paying for government schools and see where they send their kids then. Perhaps a few delusional people like you will still send their kids there, 5% at most. Liberals like you mostly.

and the best of those parents teach their children to stand up for what they beieve in.

LOL, National socialism?

Mine did for me, I did for my kids and my kids will do the same for my grandkids.

You learned to advocate thuggery and I'm sure you have passed the hate on to your children and grandchildren. The bible told us that the sins would be visited on future generations. You are living proof.

Compulsary schooling is immoral. Blah, blah, blah, same sh4t different day. I repeat public schools are the public square. Care to address that point?

Care to address the morality of compulsory education? Oh yeah, you did. Your argument was,"Blah, Blah, Blah. Same shit different day. Great argument, same as all of your other arguments. Moronic.

Government schools are not the "public square", whatever the hell that means. They are liberal indoctronation centers. You are a liberal, that's why you love them.

Compulsary schooling was never supported by Jefferson or Madison. Same strawman, different day.

Do you even know what a strawman is? Goofs like you say anything you don't agree with is a strawman.

Please cite one place in their vast writings where Jefferson or Madison advocated complusory education. If not, you are wrong as usual.

Compulsory education is your strawdog.

Clearly you don't know the meaning of the term.

John, the courts' work as just begun. I have to endure the pain of religious references on my currency. I have to pay with my taxes for chaplins in Congress and the military. It all needs to be cleansed so that we can have a true separation of church and state, and I can at last be a full citizen in this great land, and hold my head high, and not have to undergo the constant humiliation of the government sanctioning my marginalization in the public square.

Moving right along, this also highlights why we also need more liberals on SCOTUS in order to staunch the hideous birth of that hydra headed monster of government revenues going to religious schools via vouchers. I find that particuarly threatening. Before you know it, this nation might be turning out a glassey eyed product by the millions brainwashed by thoughts that are not subject to scientific proof or the power of reason or empirical data. As you know, that never happens in our public schools.
