What is this world coming to!

I grew up with that Pledge. Boy of boy. This is a sad day.

I grew up with that pledge too, only I grew up during the forties and early fifties. We didn't say "under God" and it did not lessen the value of the pledge that we made to the flag of our country. This is after all a pledge to our flag and our country, not to God. I can recite the pledge either way and it means the same to me.
