Houston FReep This Friday!
PROTEST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND OUR UNSECURED BORDERS - HOUSTON JUNE 28
WE WANT YOUR BODY! | ||
J.C. Hernandez (Texans for Immigration Reform) is calling a press conference outside the Westin Galleria Hotel - Site of The LULAC National Convention
(5060 W. Alabama)
5:30 PM on Friday, June 28, 2002MAP
Mr. Hernandez wants FReepers to give them some added moral support. They're contacting ALL conservative activists in Houston and this should be BIG. THIS IS NETWORKING AT ITS FINEST! If you can attend, that would help several other Houston groups who are pushing for tighter immigration laws and more security on our borders.
WE NEED YOU THIS FRIDAY
The press conference is at 5:30 - we should try to arrive at 5:00. I believe there is a park / field across the street from the Westin where we can meet. I will do a drive-by on that tomorrow and post exact locations.
Bring: Signs, Flags, More Signs and Bigger Flags. What a way to kick off your weekend!
Join the Houston Activist Team FreeRepublic Network Affiliate as we stand and make our voice heard on this important issue.
Can you make it? I know that you can :-) Please post if you think you can make it. Tell your family, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your neighbor's dog!
I wouldn't be surprised if we have dinner and drinks afterward. But. . . you won't know where unless you're there!
Please have her contact me also......better be a her!
"Yes, dear"
Sure, but it is $3.99 a minute.
In case there is any confusion. . . I am not referring to the cave man movies where Thog clubs his woman and drags her by the hair. I was referring to the Democrat get out the vote practice known as Knock and Drag.
Thog wind up with brain damage bald headed woman... Thog sad.
Thog find comfort with Thag.
Thus, the cave man population dwindles and vanishes.
Anyone you know?
Thog find comfort with Thag.
Thus, the cave man population dwindles and vanishes."
I dare you to go post that on one of the creationist/evolutionist threads.
Why do we "need" any more immigrants - legal or illegal, of any race - at this time?
U.S. economy - including, if not especially, industries aliens gravitate to is up s*** creek. From IT industry in Kalifornia demanding ever-more H-1(b) aliens as it downsizes native-born Americans to the collapsing textile industry here that Mexican illegals gravitate to, our economy has a labor surplus at all education and skill levels.
As for CofCC, it's not a "racist" group. I'm Jewish and everyone in area CofCC knows it - and nobody makes nasty remarks.
IMMIGRATION resource library: public-health facts, court decisions, local INS numbers!
Important info on parking and a meeting spot
I did a pre-FReep survey of the area. It's a mess due to a lot of street and building construction. The closest parking is in the ORANGE garage on W. Alabama. This street is one way east bound. Access it from Sage Rd. via Westheimer or Richmond. The ORANGE garage has an entrance that accommodates tall vehicles.
There is a church on the southeast corner of Sage and W. Alabama. There are 3 driveway entrances to their parking lot on W. Alabama, across from the Westin.. Meet there. If there are any local TV trucks they will probably be parked near there.
Should it be raining when we get there we can meet inside. On the Street Level, near the Westin entrance, there are escalators and seating. Meet there - sans any protest material.
The sidewalk in front of the Westin is open, but it is a narrow area due to the construction.
If you can't be doing what you enjoy, enjoy what you are doing.
Thanks!
I guess that is different from 'knock and drag". [;-)
Thanks for all your help with this FReep. One of these days we will meet on the streets!
Thog sad.. Thog sit at computer while
FReepers support Border Security..
Thog sad.
