An excellent point. I am told that the Ithaca Community regularly sends its juvenile delinquents and other "troubled" youngsters to this school in lieu of a "juvvie hall" or residential treatment facility. Sadly, they blend right in to the chaos.
If theres one thing, beyond anything Ive always disliked its liars.
Its pretty disgusting but not suprising that embittered left wing academics and groups are willing to manipulate and abuse the most innocent in society for their own sick ends, this time its schoolkids.
Left wing ideologies are self-fulfilling cultural suicide pacts and self-hatred prophecies that teach people to hate themselves when they should be learning to empower themselves.
Shhh. Don't give it away. Wait until all the grads trundle down to the plant to put in their applications, only to find the plant isn't there....

I loved seeing this. Kozol, beloved by the liberal media, has never let a fact or two stand in the way of his "social justice" agenda. He chronicles the stories of kids in the ghetto that are indeed tragic. But government is sometimes the solution, more often the problem, and sometimes irrelevant. Kozol is hellbent on proving it's always the solution, and his exploitation of these people's stories is shameful.
Once I went up to the teacher to complain that it was improper to use children like that as pawns in a political cause and two of the little darlings graphically told me to go commit an act of intimacy upon myself.

For this, we turn to our beloved principal Dr. Dave (Doctor David Lehman to you) who has been with ACS since when dinosaurs walked the Earth (well, maybe not that long.) He tells us that the ox was chosen because wherever Babe the Blue Ox went, he left enormous footprints in the snow (if you will remember, Babe was Paul Bunyan's companion) and we intend to leave enormous footprints in the community. I guess. Plus early ACSers prounounced our initials as "ox". Anyway, as you will see above Babe is portrayed in blue and white, our school colors. He really isn't that big a deal. We just thought we'd mention it.
And here I thought it was to symbolize all of the BULL that they are clearly slinging.
