Thank you Bunny for your thoughtfulness in bringing this milestone to the attention of everyone here! This is a very significant and special day for LadyX, and I am glad that we are all able to share part of it with her. I don't know of any military people (or few) who do not remember the day they enlisted. It's big!

Yup! i'm having a fine day. except it's hot, muggy and ucky here. yesterday it got up to 103 degrees. Today it's supposed to get into the upper 90's. It started out hot and tonight will not be much better. in the 70's.

The WORST thing about summer in Fairbanks was not the heat, but that D*MNED SUNSHINE all night! Dang. We'd go to bed at 1 am with the sun shining in our eyes and wake up at 6 am with the sun shining in our eyes! (This, for uninitiated freepers and canteeners, is why Alaskans can grow 90-pound cabbages and turnips as big as baby's heads...)
