Perhaps you wouldn't think *I* was an American based on my maiden name. I'm sure you wouldn't.

I figured that out from your replies. You've got some chip on your shoulder issues.

I have no chip on my shoulders. Just because someone has a name different from Smith or Jones, doesn't make them an illegal. My maiden name is *Vicentjivic*. I'm not Hispanic. I'm Serbian. I'm sure you'll find great problems with that. My grandfather came to the U.S. through Ellis Island...didn't speak English. Later he spoke very broken English. But he became a U.S. citizen...not that that would hold any weight with you.

How 'bout you, grlfrnd? Where do you or your folks hail from? Are your families roots from the USA? Or elsewhere?
