Bush Middle East Speech Discussion Thread
ROFLMAO! Thanks for that laugh! Israel is very happy with the speech today. Putin doesn't agree. But there ARE Palestinians who do not want Arafat in power over them for a number of reasons - primarily corruption and danger to them. EVen though they like to send their sons and daughters to do homicide bombings - human beings do NOT want to blown to bits which is what is going to happen unless they take control of their "authorities" and get into place leaders who will lead and not endanger or use them for bomb fodder!
I haven't noticed any Constitutional Amendments lately. If you really think this has been done, perhaps a lawsuit is in order.
Who needs Constitutional amendments when folks are so willing to give their rights away because they trust President Bush and his "plans"?
Campaign finance (1st amendment); Patriot Act (4th amendment); and "American citizens declared 'Enemy Combatants' "without due process (5th, 6th and 14th amendments).
These 'trimmings' of our rights are outrageous and should be fought in court.
LOL!!!!!! And to me of all people!
How many men could possibly replicate King Solomen's wisdom?
How many men have the moral authority to propose such a plan?
I'm thinking today our President is the man. He was magnificent. He was humble.
No grandstanding for nobel peace prize. He is not dreaming while puffing on a cigar. It's not about his legacy. It's about a real chance at achieving freedom from despotic tyrants and misery. It's about a real opportunity for peace.
He again put on notice those who terrorize freedom loving people that their bloody barbarism will not be tolerated. Americans stand ready to help Palestinians in their cause for economic development and independence as long as they show that they can do some of the heavy lifting and oust the terrorists, elect new leaders, live peacefully and accept Israel's sovereignity.
I'm sure the only people unhappy with President Bush's proposal for peace are those that do not wish to live in peace and would rather continue their reign of terror on innocents.
God Bless our President and his Administration for their efforts. Hope still shines in the hearts of men and women who believe in the greatest right of all, Freedom.
Balogna, they have all had judicial review.
