You are so bad. Maybe Layla was the intended kidnap victim. We shall see how it goes. Feldman is doing his job whether people like it or not. Next week should start the fire works, let's see if the rumors are true.

Seems to me that is way to much Layla hair for casual transference.

You're right. No race card this time. No "send a message to the man." But Feldman is using the OJ-style discredit the evidence-gathering method, handling, and analysis gambit. It's all he has, and he's good, but will it nullify the weight of the evidence to an an inteligent and unbiased jury? Don't think so.

Do you think it will hurt the defense for it's side to be broken up by the 4th of July holiday? And then Judge Mudd said he has to be gone for a week soon after that. Will the interruption affect the impact on the jurors?

Little too young. I thought they had been married for 13 years. They must have waited a while. No, let's play "mommy, daddy and their 4 friends" was likely then.

Judges can leave in the middle of a case?? That's bizarre.

Apparently this trip with his wife has been scheduled for some time. He addressed it in open court. Besides, he'll be back before they are finished.

So he's not going to be there for a big part of the defense's case? I don't understand that. If he knew that he had prior commitments, why wasn't another judge chosen, one that could sit right through the case?

I don't expect you to know the answers to these questions, by the way. I'm just wondering ;-)

Court's back. At some point mentioned to "animal fibers". Feldman's calling her on it.

Been gone all day--what'd I miss?
(Just kidding! Thanks, all, for keeping a running report. Took half an hour to read all the comments!)

Now, about those hairs, last week didn't we hear that certain hairs that were similar to Danielle's could also be from Danielle L. and her friend (can't remember her name--Jennifer)? Just because a hair looks similar does not mean it has been matched conclusively as a one-in-a-pentillion chance of belonging to anyone else in the known universe.

And hair like Layla's in the dryer lint ball? If Danielle romped with her dog at all, she would have shed hair on her clothing/socks/shoes (as would BVD and Dylen). She walked from her house to DW's, along with Mom and Brother, along with their dog's hairs, along with carpet fibers from their living room, along with the hair on their heads. Then she flitted to and fro in DW's house while Mom chatted with the neighbor. This is all WAY too circumstantial to convict the guy of murder (or, in the popular vernacular around here, "fry him"). My .02 for the moment.

Not sure where pubic hair was found. I did hear that a blond hair was found in driver's side footwell

Pubic hair? Why did Feldman point that out? It makes my head spin with the possibilities of what that may imply.
