I do hope the "New Century hangover" will be shorter and less severe, for everyone's sake.

I think it has to be, the economy is fundamentally strong, just not as glittering as the "fools gold" of the 1990's.

I agree- I suspect ( despite a lot of the vaporware & hype ) that the consumer-driven information age economy is a lot more powerful than many realize. The sheer speed-up of the information flow is almost dizzying, and businesses are learning how to harness it to their advantage.
