According to Joe Hadenuf: Official Free Republic Position Parallels GOP On Immigration. No Big Deal
6/23/02 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 06/23/2002 12:52:24 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

Last night during a conversation/debate between myself and the leader/owner of the Free Republic, Jim Robinson, a rather stunning revelation was brought forth. I asked Mr. Robinson, which Republicans were vocally backing, and supporting Tancredo in his fight for our sovereignty? After some delay, Jim answered, “I have no idea. Immigration is not a big concern of mine.”

This is from the man that runs the most well known, and respected, political conservative internet forum in the United States? And Mr. Robinson resides in California?

Below is the exchange

Conservatives, Cut Bush Slack The Chicago Sun-Times | June 22, 2002 | Thomas Roeser

To: Jim Robinson

#939: Oh, so the Republicans are fighting for our sovereignty? Besides Tancredo, which Republicans are these Jim? If you could be specific.

#1034: Which ones are not ?

#1056: You never answered my question Jim.

Since you failed to answer my question, I will go first.

Given thirty years of this open border, immigration "free for all" that has resulted in many millions entering our nation illegally, I believe there are very few Republicans, or anyone else in DC, besides Tancredo, that are visibly and vocally fighting for our national sovereignty.

Now would you care to tell me which Republicans are standing with Tancredo and voicing outrage against this titanic, never ending invasion of illegal aliens?

At first I as was stunned, angry, and felt let down. Then after some thought I wasn’t too surprised.

Looking back at all the hundreds of immigration threads where many were deleted, disappeared and sent to the cornfield, I guess I am not too surprised. However, given the gravity and danger this country faces regarding this out of control, titanic immigration issue, I am still outraged, disheartened and saddened by Mr. Robinson’s response. Thread after thread Freepers have displayed genuine outrage and honest concern regarding this issue. And the outrage and insanity regarding this issue goes far beyond the Free Republic.

It’s escalated to the point now where many of our major cities in this country, such as Chicago, have now approved the use of identification cards, issued by Mexican consulates that will give illegal aliens access to financial and public services and more, as our so-called leaders stand treasonously silent, as our sovereignty is slowly dismantled.

This massive invasion of millions of illegal aliens has changed the face of many of our once great cities, from California to Illinois, to Georgia, to Tennessee, to Texas etc etc.

They are crowding our already over crowded classrooms, voting in our elections, choking off our social services, driving down the wages, while driving up our taxes, filling our jails, standing room only in many big city emergency rooms, etc, etc, etc. I personally know of six American citizens that have become victims of illegal alien crime, from having family members slaughtered on our highways by drunk driving illegal aliens, to stabbings, robberies and common burglaries.

And just recently, another young Deputy Sheriff was shot through the face and killed in California by an illegal alien, that has again fled back to the safety of Mexico. It has now been learned that this individual has already been deported three times, each time he has returned and committed more crimes in our country, leaving American victims in his wake, and each time he fled back to the safety of Mexico.

There are many forms of terrorism, and this continued invasion of millions upon millions is one form. And it's my opinion that it’s one of the most dangerous, most threatening issues facing America today. Even today as we speak, our federal government continues to allow in almost 8000 Middle Eastern men a month on visas. It is my opinion that this legal and illegal “immigration free for all” must be, stopped, extremely limited, and reformed immediately!

Again, I am extremely saddened and distressed by Mr. Robinson's response and lack of concern regarding this issue.

"I find this an incredible position, given your geographical location."

I didn't say I was for illegal immigration, did I? No, I didn't. I said it is NOT A BIG CONCERN OF MINE. I think Canada's borders probably pose more thread than Mexico's. Listen, I'm all for securing our borders, but I'm just not passionate about it, like Bill O'Reilly. That's why conservatives are supposed to team up, because each has different gifts and issues near and dear to them, and for me, immigration isn't one of them.

Give it a rest.

Wait a minute. You accuse me of the following, yet you fail to answer simple questions or back up what you accuse me of, and then you tell me to give it a rest?

Would you mind answering my response to your accusations? Or do you just throw our words and make accusations without reading the thread? Here, I will repeat them for all to see.

Childishly bashing Jim with such a loopy vanity will help nothing.

Childishly bashing of Jim? All I did was to quote Jim Robinson's position on immigration, which was, "Immigration is not a big concern of mine."

You make an accusation and then you fail to answer my question? Here I will ask you again.

Can you quote me where I was Childishly bashing Jim Robinson? I don't think that exist anywhere, except your imagination.

you must have noticed that not everyone on our side is rabid and biting nails over every single issue.

Where on this thread was I "rabid" over this issue?

This ignorant standard of obsessive purity and required fury are some of the most destructive elements of the right.

Ignorant standard of obsessive purity? This issue is about millions upon millions of illegal aliens that have criminally invaded our nation and continue to do so, at the rate of thousands a day.

A crisis that was once isolated to California, Texas, and Arizona has now reached all corners of this nation. This illegal invasion is compounded by the problems of unchecked, and unmanaged legal immigration, in a war time period yet.

Now, could you explain what you meant by ignorant standard of obsessive purity, that you think is surrounding this titanic national crisis?

Conservatives aren't created equal. Neither Bill Bennett or Jack Kemp think illegal immigration is a big deal. Strange, but true.

Bet money your not from California. Jack Kemp is a typical big government, big mouth, sell out traitor. But you knew that right? Interesting, you would bring up Jack Kemp.

Posting a vanity to go on and on about is boring and if continuous anti-immigration threads blossom daily in the forum, we and Jim will be accused of bigotry/racism/hate speech blah blah blah.

What, are you the thread police, or the thread auditor? Your a little full of yourself aren't you Deb? Who are you to say what issues or what threads are boring? You showed up here, beating your gums, making accusations, and then fail to answer any questions or back up your accusations.

Posting a vanity to go on and on about is boring and if continuous anti-immigration threads blossom daily in the forum, we and Jim will be accused of bigotry/racism/hate speech blah blah blah.

LOL, blah blah is right!

We and Jim will be accused of bigortry and racism/hate speach? What? Jim can drop any thread he pleases Debbie. I think Jim is a big boy, that can handle this site without your paranoia.

You made your case. Enough.

Uh, you posted to me Debbie. Did you not want a response? Does this mean you are ordering an end to this thread? In a way it would be fitting, as this issue is ignored and avoided by both beltway parties, as much as possible.

I know what you said, that your in Texas and immigration is not a big concern or yours, and that you feel Canada's borders probably pose more of a threat than Mexico's.

I'm all for securing our borders, but I'm just not passionate about it, like Bill O'Reilly. That's why conservatives are supposed to team up, because each has different gifts and issues near and dear to them, and for me, immigration isn't one of them.

Bill O'Reilly? LOL! He's nothing but a talking head in TV wasteland!

That's why conservatives are supposed to team up

Some need to wake up first.

If we didn't have to pay so much in social services to illegals and immigrants that can't pull their own weight there would be pleanty of money for old people. They cost us an estimated 24 billion a year, not to mention the 9 billion they take out of our economy and send to Mexico.

I see immigration as a tool of liberals to void the votes of conservatives, but I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with or share my opinion. It's just a shame they don't because I see it as the most urgent problem that needs to be turned around before the voter's booth is overwhelmed against us.=o)

Yes, I know. And in the big picture, he is completely irrelevant. Instead of a talking head on TV, our celebrity leaders should be demanding and putting forth immediate actions.

Would you be willing to register at your local police station for voting and credit rights, as they do in Germany? They claim it greatly cuts down on fraud to have to go register whenever you move, and the credit companies know where to go find you. Just a thought.

To register to vote, yes, for credit rights, no, since the latter are a private affair. Voting fraud must be cracked down upon and as it its a governmental function, it would seem reasonable to register at a government agency to prevent fraud at least every 4 years. No, I wouldn't mind. Would you?

Well, I am not in favor of any federal raids on citizens for taxes or any other reason. I am 100% opposed to the income tax and the IRS. I am equally opposed to raids by the INS. Just runs contrary to my belief in a free people.

Were we less free when the INS had stricter controls over immigration in the past, as in the 50's and 60's? Are we freer now that there is little control?

I would rather not accept the asisstance of a former KKK recruiter.

Would you accept the assistance of Communists like Waxman and Hillary that back the 245i amnesty for illegal aliens? Somehow I think you would. Tell me what does it say about your position when you feel compelled to pull out the race card when confronted with arguments you apparently can't answer?

It seems foreign to our ears to have to register at the local police station every time we move, as they do in Germany (or so I've been told). Perhaps someone from there can vouch for that. They also require the licensing of private databases, and each field and reason for the field has to be offered before approval is given. They see it as a measure to secure their right to privacy. I only asked about the registration to see if those who want to secure their borders are willing to allow the police to catalog all inhabitants.

I want to secure the borders and I would be willing to have a gov't agency catalog all inhabitants. Wouldn't you? And I have nothing against immigrants; I rather like them, especially the Koreans.

However, I think we should curtail immigration from Muslim nations, because of their IDEOLOGY.

Currently we bar immigration from anarchists and moral reprobates. We also currently limit legal immigration from each country, and as a society we have the right to decide these issues.

And our leaders and representatives are doing a great job too.

8 Million Illegal Aliens Swarm U.S.

On Oct 29 2001 2:46 AM

NewsMax.com ^ | Friday, October 26, 2001 | Phil Brennan Reprinted from NewsMax.com 8 Million Illegal Aliens Swarm U.S. Phil Brennan, NewsMax.com Friday, Oct. 26, 2001 At a time when the U.S. faces an internal terrorist threat posed partly by illegal aliens, a shocking new report from the U.S. Census Bureau reveals that there are as many as 8 million illegal aliens - or more - in the U.S. Incredibly, the number of illegal aliens living in the U.S skyrocketed by about 400,000 to 500,000 a year in 10 years, jumping from the 3.5 million estimated to have been here in 1990 to 8 million last year.

Actually this figure has been updated to as many as 15 million now in the United States. And we don't have a clue how many anarchists, moral reprobates, common criminals or terrorist are among these millions.

Yes our leaders and elected official have done a fantastic job.

Well, forgive us if what you think isn't as important or as news-worthy, to some of us, as what Jim Robinson believes. We had no idea how important you were. At least in your own mind.

Most of us took it as an opportunity to put information in front of JR that he must have missed somehow.

We don't know if it's going to alter his focus, but it was worth a try. At least, there's reason to hold out hope that he might change his opinion.

You've had a chance, by now, to view all of the same information and what you're implying is that it hasn't had any affect on your focus.

IMHO, that makes you hopeless.

LOL!
