According to Joe Hadenuf: Official Free Republic Position Parallels GOP On Immigration. No Big Deal
6/23/02 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 06/23/2002 12:52:24 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

Last night during a conversation/debate between myself and the leader/owner of the Free Republic, Jim Robinson, a rather stunning revelation was brought forth. I asked Mr. Robinson, which Republicans were vocally backing, and supporting Tancredo in his fight for our sovereignty? After some delay, Jim answered, “I have no idea. Immigration is not a big concern of mine.”

This is from the man that runs the most well known, and respected, political conservative internet forum in the United States? And Mr. Robinson resides in California?

Below is the exchange

Conservatives, Cut Bush Slack The Chicago Sun-Times | June 22, 2002 | Thomas Roeser

To: Jim Robinson

#939: Oh, so the Republicans are fighting for our sovereignty? Besides Tancredo, which Republicans are these Jim? If you could be specific.

#1034: Which ones are not ?

#1056: You never answered my question Jim.

Since you failed to answer my question, I will go first.

Given thirty years of this open border, immigration "free for all" that has resulted in many millions entering our nation illegally, I believe there are very few Republicans, or anyone else in DC, besides Tancredo, that are visibly and vocally fighting for our national sovereignty.

Now would you care to tell me which Republicans are standing with Tancredo and voicing outrage against this titanic, never ending invasion of illegal aliens?

At first I as was stunned, angry, and felt let down. Then after some thought I wasn’t too surprised.

Looking back at all the hundreds of immigration threads where many were deleted, disappeared and sent to the cornfield, I guess I am not too surprised. However, given the gravity and danger this country faces regarding this out of control, titanic immigration issue, I am still outraged, disheartened and saddened by Mr. Robinson’s response. Thread after thread Freepers have displayed genuine outrage and honest concern regarding this issue. And the outrage and insanity regarding this issue goes far beyond the Free Republic.

It’s escalated to the point now where many of our major cities in this country, such as Chicago, have now approved the use of identification cards, issued by Mexican consulates that will give illegal aliens access to financial and public services and more, as our so-called leaders stand treasonously silent, as our sovereignty is slowly dismantled.

This massive invasion of millions of illegal aliens has changed the face of many of our once great cities, from California to Illinois, to Georgia, to Tennessee, to Texas etc etc.

They are crowding our already over crowded classrooms, voting in our elections, choking off our social services, driving down the wages, while driving up our taxes, filling our jails, standing room only in many big city emergency rooms, etc, etc, etc. I personally know of six American citizens that have become victims of illegal alien crime, from having family members slaughtered on our highways by drunk driving illegal aliens, to stabbings, robberies and common burglaries.

And just recently, another young Deputy Sheriff was shot through the face and killed in California by an illegal alien, that has again fled back to the safety of Mexico. It has now been learned that this individual has already been deported three times, each time he has returned and committed more crimes in our country, leaving American victims in his wake, and each time he fled back to the safety of Mexico.

There are many forms of terrorism, and this continued invasion of millions upon millions is one form. And it's my opinion that it’s one of the most dangerous, most threatening issues facing America today. Even today as we speak, our federal government continues to allow in almost 8000 Middle Eastern men a month on visas. It is my opinion that this legal and illegal “immigration free for all” must be, stopped, extremely limited, and reformed immediately!

Again, I am extremely saddened and distressed by Mr. Robinson's response and lack of concern regarding this issue.

Well, I am 100% in favor of the U.S. getting out of the U.N. and the U.N. getting the hell out of the U.S. No problem. It's nothing more than a world-wide liberal/socialist advancement tool.

Well it certainly reduced the influence of party bosses and machines on senators. These days senators are largely independent atomistic narcissistic political entrepreneurs. Of course, party bosses and machines are in most places simply comatose period. Williams Jennings Bryan got his way. The New Jerusalem has arrived.

The Congress has the power to regulate immigration and I can see setting reasonable immigration quotas and strengthening our borders, etc,

And this is not being done. Only window dressing.

but I do not buy into more federal power or conducting federal raids of private businesses, and or Janet Reno style armed swat teams dragging suspected illegals out of their domiciles.

Well this is already happening to American citizens. Try not paying government taxes, among other laws that American citizens must obey, at gun point.

So your final solution is to forego voting rather than to enforce voting laws? Throw the baby out with the bath water? How about firebombing the polling stations, or scattered machinegun fire over the heads of the sheeple as they go in to vote? Sheesh. If the political landscape is so bleak and hopeless, then what are you doing here? Is your party of choice always in the sub-digit range? That must be frustrating, but the solution to that is not to whine about what a stacked deck, but to effect changes in other ways.

I, too, am concerned about voter fraud and it's a great scandal, but the experts on this fraud claim it is not at the point where it really tips elections, however the recent Florida election seems to negate that view. Would you be willing to register at your local police station for voting and credit rights, as they do in Germany? They claim it greatly cuts down on fraud to have to go register whenever you move, and the credit companies know where to go find you. Just a thought.

I do not see any reason to pull a Reno to have to fix immigration issues. The Dept. Of Immigration gets billions of dollars to do what? They sit in fancy offices and hire people for next to minimun wage (so they are open to cash bribes of the passing of citizenship tests)

All awhile they sit at a computer program and pass through terrorists names as they may be late for a five star restaurant lunch.

The DeptOfImmigration needs purged and cleaned like all other fed dept's. And guess what, when purged; I don't think their fiscal budget will be in the billions.

Right, which makes him a materialist ideologue.

Materialist: 1 a : a theory that physical matter is the only or fundamental reality and that all being and processes and phenomena can be explained as manifestations or results of matter

Ideologue: 2 : an often blindly partisan advocate or adherent of a particular ideology

Marxism: the political, economic, and social principles and policies advocated by Marx; especially : a theory and practice of socialism including the labor theory of value, dialectical materialism, the class struggle, and dictatorship of the proletariat until the establishment of a classless society (and I will add, they believe theirs to be a scientific theory, that there is no spiritual world or God. Physical matter is the only or fundamental reality)

Ever see a leader of a Marxist country living as a pauper? You don't really think they mean equal distribution of wealth, do you?

The unity the Democrats are showing in the Senate speaks against this assertion.

Ever see a leader of a Marxist country living as a pauper?

Ever see a leader of ANY country living less than regally?

You don't really think they mean equal distribution of wealth, do you?

Of course they do. They want all the poor people to live equally poorly, and the wealth distributed to themselves.

Well, I am not in favor of any federal raids on citizens for taxes or any other reason. I am 100% opposed to the income tax and the IRS. I am equally opposed to raids by the INS. Just runs contrary to my belief in a free people.

Does the federal government have constitutional authority to dictate to the states regarding licensing?

As it stands, the law of the land is that immigration is a federal issue, and states can't make laws regarding Illegals. This is the rationale by which Proposition #187 was gutted.

But if States can't make laws that take away unearned subsidies from Illegals, how is it that states can make laws giving them drivers' licenses.

Further, didn't the FedGov dictate to the states regarding licensing with Motor Voter?

No, but then I wasn't the one claiming that there isn't a dime's worth of difference difference between the phrases "cynical materialist ideologue" and "Marxist revolutionary". The latter is a type of the former.

"The DeptOfImmigration needs purged and cleaned like all other fed dept's. And guess what, when purged; I don't think their fiscal budget will be in the billions."

That's fine with me. And I agree, I think the same formula would work in all departments and agencies of the federal government.

Why are you putting words in my mouth?
I never said or implied anything violent
I did point out that the ballot box does not always work and the problem is getting worse.

Is your party of choice always in the sub-digit range?

Yes it is.
I live in Chicago and I always vote Republican

Joe, what you have done was an attempt at a cheap shot, and not debate tactics at all. But in actuality it has backfired and made you look quite foolish

You were being embarrassed on another thread, and instead of keeping it there, you intentionally call Jim out to this one.

You ignored questions posed to you by Jim on the thread you posted this one from, and are doing this only to save face.

I don't think we need any more laws.

I do think that we ought to enforce the laws we have. That is not currently happening, at least within any reasonable meaning of the word "enforce."

The head of the INS, Ziglar, said that he would not round up and deport illegal aliens. Stop a minute and reflect on how bizarre that is, given his oath of office.

I'm sure there are some people who want more laws, national I.D.s, etc. I don't, and I'd guess that most people don't.

We just want the laws on the books enforced. Is that too much to ask?
