Thank you for your post #10. Maybe you're right. I later also thought the reason for this article appearing now might actually be the opposite: Could it be the WP is trying to help Gore? I have no idea what goes on in the mind of the WP. But, I do know: WP, YOU'RE A LITTLE LATE HERE! Thanks for your post, IVote2. :)

summer, thanks for the ping. We often look at media bias and we look for an organized plan. Bias, though, isn't quite that organized. The WP writers like Algore. That's all. But they're disappointed in him that he managed to lose.
So, I don't think they're trying to sabatoge Algore for 2004, but they aren't enamored with him either. Think of it like sports -- they're just fans reporting on their favorite team that's been under .500 the whole season!
Thanks for all your work, summer.

My pleasure, and thanks for your analysis. But, my question remains to you, AmishDude - what took the WP so LONG to report this? I'm not alleging a plot to sabatoge him, but I am certainly questioning why the WP did not report this at any time in the past - in 2002, 2001, or Nov 2000. Are they that slow at the keyboard???? :)!

ROTFLAO!!!!!!!!!! I do recall when you spoke about that.

You honestly think Gore lost the US Presidency because of an arcane argument over an airport location? That's the most laughable thing I've ever heard.
Those of us who peruse FR on a daily basis are news junkies, but 95% of the electorate are not. The average voter had no idea that there was an airport controversy, and more importantly, they had no idea which side of the argument Al Gore stood on.
(For the record, I'm a news junkie and I never heard of this airport till today.)
There were millions of votes cast in Florida, and every voter had a different reason for casting his vote.
You don't suppose Gore's position on the Elian Gonzalez debacle, or taxes, or Social Security, or gun control, or National Defense had anything to do with his defeat do you?
