The message was sent through secret diplomatic channels.Mecca and Medina would be irradiated and made un-inhabitable for centuries...The US should do the same and send a similar message to the Saudis, Iranians, Syrians etal.

Maybe such a message already has been put out by the Bush Administration and that might explain why nothing of significance has occurred on American soil since 9/11.

Such doctrines are only effective if made publicly, especially in light of the new type of war--war against a religion whose adherents are from many countries but who have a capital country and two holy cities in that country, one of those cities being absolutely necessary to the practice of their religion.
