Clinton made the same charges in 1992 when he beat former President Bush, claiming that the then President was too much of a foreign policy leader and a zero at home.

I hope he and the Dems try this strategy. Then I hope the Repubs remind folks that if the terrorists are not stopped, there will be even MORE 9/11s and all those nice domestic programs will be worthless! AND I hope the Repubs. will remind folks who it was who was asleep at the switch and allowed bin Laden and Al Queda to flourish in the 90s, thus allowing 9/11 to occur!

I wish they would, but it's not gonna happen. As always, the Republicans are so concerned with looking like the nice guys that they get their butts handed to them by the ruthless Dems. Have you seen today's thread on the story about Bush being warned by Dems not to pursue anything on either Clinton? As long as this kind of game-playing goes on, there will never be meaningful change in Washington no matter who's in power. What should've happened with a meeting like that is the White House tapes showing such threats should've been broadcast on C-SPAN and Fox, after which the other media would have been forced to keep up and air them too. Some radical move like that by someone unwilling to play games is the only thing that's ever going to shake up the power structure in this country. And unfortunately, as it currently stands it's impossible to make it to the White House without being a player. Game over.

To say nothing of the incredible risk of such a "strategy". Let's say they used it, pounded it over and over and over into the duhlectorate's minds, and then another 9/11 happened on November 1? It would make their 1994 massacre look like a cakewalk come election day.

Assuming the strategy will even work at all, which it won't. In 1992, there was no war and nobody cared about anything but domestic issues. And remember, the main reason Clinton got reelected in '96 was because Dole ran one of the lamest campaigns in the history of humanity, and the only reason Gore almost won with his sorta-kinda Clintonian tactics is because of the intentional RAT leak about Bush's eons-old drunk driving arrest three days before the election. If that hadn't happened, Bush probably would have won by 3-5%.

So if we divert money from programs for which the federal governmnet has no constitutional mandate to national defense which is one of the legitimate roles of federal government to fight the war on terror, the terrorists win?

Only from the mind of a Democrat like Clinton! And if the voters buy this garbage, it will just be evidence that we have been corrupted by decades of socialism and have lost our way.

This guy has already proven he would sell out our country for political victory and it looks like he's going to try again.
