Of course, between Texas and here, I can only name one liberal teacher my kids had in the public schools which speaks volumes.

Many teachers in my area are conservatives also. I still think one thing that would help is for more of us to become public school teachers. If we leave the public schools to the liberals, what will become of the future generations?

I know some people are saying that their children will never go to public schools...but there are a lot of children who will never go anywhere else, and either we can influence them or the liberals will.

I am with you on that! My son who graduates next year is going to graduate school to become an English professor and he is very conservative. I have hopes that a lot of the military who retire will also take up teaching -- I have already noticed an increase in retired military teaching in the schools here in Oklahoma and hope it becomes a nationwide trend.
