President Bush headed to Florida today to attend a fundraiser for his brother, Gov. Jeb Bush. While in Florida, Bush visited Marks Street Senior Center in Orlando, and spoke once again about physical fitness and addressed the homicide bombings in Israel. The President also attended a senior fitness class while at the Marks Street Center. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I doubt it. Shared music, perhaps, but no conductor. About as orchestrated as a bad case of the flu. About as orchestrated as an army of fire ants on the attack.

Human civilization has the flu. Too many folks think that we can find the right answers, the final solution, right here on earth. Some find it in Conservative ideals (Rush and Walter E. Williams). Some find it in the global village (liberals). Some find it in the rantings of radical Islam. Some (the Bush Bots) are accused falsely of finding it in an idealized leader. Now some of these, such as conservative ideals and our President, I value, and some I don't. But none of them are the final Truth.

In any case, the susceptibility of humans to false Gods, to thinking that we can make own heaven on Earth, is a disease. We're all capable of catching it.

Yes, that was the line in that Psalm that really hit home given the attempts to bring the scurrying cowardly killers (yes, back in the Gulf war and now in today's War) out of their hiding places. Let's pray that all that is going on even now behind the scenes will bring them out like roaches to the light of day.....so they can be dealt with as terrorists must be dealt with.

Israel does have guts. Her people also are not vindictive. Think about it. How many other nations / people groups on this earth have a greater reason to hate ... well, darn near everybody for persecuting them. And yet look at the restraint they use in self-defense. I know they have to be restrained in order not to be blown off the map by the Arab nations, but still, just look even at the attitudes of Israel as well as the actions.

Speaking of shakes, have you seen that new Jack in the Box commercial where the guy imitating the home improvement show guy (Norm somebody?) shows someone redoing a house foundation with Fake Shake as a bonding agent? Fake Shake = milk shakes from other fast food stores, containing no ice cream. The camera cuts to Jack watching the commercial on TV and saying, "This guy RULES!" I about fell off the couch the first time I saw it.

No, I haven't seen that one! I am going to have to watch for that, sounds funny! The new Hershey shakes are good, just keep them in the frig and pop a top and it is chocolate Heaven. Of course, they are not thick like one's you get at Jack in the Box, but they are sure yummy!
