If you haven't figured it out yet, folks will judge you by how you use capitalization and punctuation, and rightly so.
While typing in all caps can be used for EMPHASIS or to denote emotion. Using it for all words in a sentence or paragraph, denotes yelling, and since you were not in a heated arguement, it was blatently rude.
Get yourself to a netiquette class pronto.
