What a nice thread. My compliments. ;^)

As to "the “toothless hag” is still my personal favorite", it reminds me of one of my favs from a buddy at school. Commenting on someone much like Maddie Albright, he said, "that old battle axe doesn't have a smart bone in her toothless head." So quaint...

Thanks for all your prayers for Mason, who is doing just terrific after the bone marrow transplant. He is back home and only having to go in for rechecks once a week.

We cannot thank you enough. God bless all of you!!!

And also thank you mystomachisturning for your prayers even though the FReeper list indicates I've got your name spelled wrong or you have left FReeper world.

While we're on the subject of compliments -- many years ago I announced to the regulars at my favorite watering hole in D.C. (The Cafe Capri on Massachusetts Avenue) that I was going back to school to get my Ph.D. One of them made the perfect response. "I guess we'll have to start calling you 'Dr. A$$hole' from now on."

On the serious side, I agree whole-heartedly with all the nice comments about FReepers and this website that I've already read -- and also with the remainder of them that I will read after posting this. Y'all are good people, and there's an incredible amount of talent on line at this site.
