Thanks guys. Free Republic is a conservative oasis in a liberal wasteland. Now that I am no longer active duty, I can start acting conservative. I can speak my mind about the CinC without fear of retribution. (I was counseled several times about my comments during x42's reign.) I can display the CBF on my car without being told to take it off. (The LCPO at my last command was very PC.) And most importantly, I can own a dog! (The Navy frowns on pets onboard ship.)

Very well put. I'm glad you are now able to be freer in your contributions to the good fight. I enjoy your posts and especially all the southern threads. Besides, I admire a man who knows his barbecue! ;-)
