Just got off the Horn with a Vietnam vet from 1ST Cav...he is disabled form tour of duty...popped into to Freep.
Going down memory lane tonight..
Just kids...they dreamed of home,..they wanted to be brave..and survive.
Like our time..they found ways to kick back..have some "Jack Daniels"[SAMWolf would approve]..and get some space from what was going on.
Many in 3RD Marine stayed for a 2nd tour in country...they were known as "Americas Division".
