Pray for Bush day 643 & the children of America

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this day and for the blessings You have given us. I thank You for the sunshine and the sweet comfort of Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for Your guidance and for listening to us when we call upon Your name. You have been our Rock and our Fortress, our everpresent Help in time of trouble and our Prince of Peace. You are life itself to us Lord and we thank You and praise You for all You are and for all You do.

Father, I lift up to You President Bush and I ask for You to guide him in all of his ways throughout the day and until we meet again for prayer here tomorrow. Lord, give him wisdom and discernment in all decisions and with all people. Help him to know right and wrong and to desire to do right all of the time. Give him the courage to stand in the face of opposition, and, even when it is politically dangerous, to still do right. Protect him by Your power and nourish him with Your love, I pray.

I pray for the children of America, Lord. Spark a revival in their midst that spreads throughout this land. Let them know You and turn to You with all of their hearts that this land may be saved and Your name glorified. And let them be an example to the nations of the power of Your name.

Go with us the rest of this day, Lord, I pray and until we meet again. For it is in the precious and holy and powerful name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I pray these things, Amen.

Father I pray for President Bush, that you will keep him safe from physical harm. Give wisdom in all areas of the difficult job he holds. Bless his family, and protect their health and well being. Strengthen him spiritually each day, renewing him as he needs it.

Father, I know you love children, and are ready to hear and answer when we pray in their behalf. I pray that you will let your presence surround and draw those children who need you and do not know you. Open their hearts and send someone into their lives to present Jesus to them. I pray for all children who do know you, but are constantly beset by ideas and ideals of the day that oppose you. Provide guardian angels. Strengthen the parents of these children and give fresh vision to them. Work in the Children's programs and Sunday Schools where they attend, to be relevant and life giving.

Send a mighty outpouring upon us all, O God, send forth your command to the earth, and help us, and we thank you, in Jesus' Name.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

We come to You this day in the name of Jesus Christ, whose shed blood was offered as a payment for our sins, that we might have everlasting life. Father, You are the wellspring of power, of hope, of love, and of strength. Thank You for allowing us to draw near to You through prayer.

We return to give You thanks for the many ways You are answering our prayers and working in our nation. We humbly seek Your wisdom for President Bush as he deals with every current issue, and we pray for Your wisdom to permeate his mind. Help him to seek Your will, Lord, and please give him the power of discernment that he may separate Your voice from those who would deceive him. Help him to know Your perfect will regarding Israel. Father, be with him as he prays to you each morning. Give him everything he needs for the day that lies ahead. Help him to know that his help comes from You, our God, who made heaven and earth. We know that You honor those who earnestly seek to please You, Father. Please surround President Bush with success, and let him give You all the praise and glory.

Gracious Lord, we pray for all those who influence President Bush, that they may receive Your gift of salvation and that they may always guide him wisely. Pour forth Your wisdom into the heart and mind of Laura Bush, of Vice-President Cheney, of Collin Powell, and of the many advisors and cabinet members in the President’s administration. Help them always to offer wise counsel and give them the gift of discernment that can only come from You.

Please bless America, Lord, and bless and protect the children of this nation. We pray for Elizabeth Smart and for all the children who have been abducted from their families. Have mercy on them Lord, and please allow them to be returned to their rightful homes. Bind the hands of those who seek to harm any of Your little ones. We plead for Your mercy upon these precious children and upon the parents who mourn for them. In the name of Jesus Christ, our King, Amen.
