"If we have an effective weapon in our hands and the whole world is trying to take it off us, this kind of reaction shows it to be the most effective way," said Ismail Abu Shanab, a Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip. Fine, Ismail. Keep slowly slitting your own throat with your "weapon."

It has now been proven that Arafat is not only a consumate liar, he is a congenital one as well. Pleasing sounds coming out of his word hole mean nothing now, nor have they for a while, to any thinking humans.
(Following from What I Have Learned From The Twentieth Century)
Lesson No. 4: Believe actions, not words. Tyrants are consummate liars. Just because a tyrant is "democratically elected" doesn't mean that he believes in democracy. Reference Adolf Hitler, 1932. And just because a would-be tyrant mouths words of reverence to law and justice, or takes a solemn oath to uphold a constitution, doesn't mean he believes such concepts apply to him. Reference Bill Clinton, among others. The language of the lie is just another tool of killers. A sign saying "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work Makes You Free) posted above an execution camp gate doesn't mean that anybody gets out of there alive, and a room labeled "Showers" doesn't necessarily make you clean. Bill Clinton notwithstanding, the meaning of "is" is plain when such perverted language gets you killed. While all tyrants are liars, it is true that not all political liars are would-be tyrants-- but they bear close watching. And keep your rifle handy.

Arafat condemned attacks on Israeli civilians in a statement Thursday and said shootings and bombings "must be completely halted." Otherwise, he warned, the result might be "full Israeli occupation of our lands." You reap what you sew, thug. It's about time Isreal tought you some fear.

Palestinian hospital and security officials said a pregnant Palestinian woman, Sahar Hindi, 27, died after being shot in the chest during an exchange of gunfire in Qalqiliya. It's possible that Sahar Hindi died. It's also possible that she was pregnant.
It's odd, though, how many pregnant Palestinian women seem to be in the line of fire in these gunfights. I wonder if, perchance, she was killed at her job in a baby milk factory...?

A subtle but nessecary question:
Did Arafat make this plea in Arabic or English?
As we have seen and heard in the past, when Arafat talks to his moronic, maniacal and bloodthirsty brethen-in-faith, it's in Arabic and doesn't paint a pretty picture. What, with his calling for more homicide bombings and his supposed wish to become a "martyr", too. When he speaks in English, it has been all lies and platitudes designed within his small mind to curry favor from the attending "journalists". His palestinian islamists don't pay attention, nor are they required to.
Hasn't one of Israel's demands of him been to address his palis in Arabic?

Arafat Calls for Halt to AttacksBe careful what you call for, Yassir. Folks on our side just might figure the logic out, as follows:
If you call for the bombings to stop, and they actually do stop, it means that you have the power to stop them. Which means you haven't stopped them in the past. Which makes you complicit in the mass murder of innocent civilians.
If you call for the bombings to stop, and they don't stop, it means that you are a useless figurehead.
In the former case, you should be killed forthwith.
In the latter case, you should be exiled and never heard from again.
I fail to see the case wherein you remain the leader and chief spokesman for the Palestinians.

Your logic is unassailable but so has logic been in many other cases, especially in our domestic politics. It is quite frustrating to see situations, as the one you present, where the course of action is so obvious yet, forstalled by the timid politially correct, a.k.a., the State Department.

Now there is a person that you can trust.
Ara-O-Fatslob, the bad breath, smelly bodied, ugly, old, pig that does not know how to tell the truth.
When will he relize that he is already dead, because no living thing can be that ugly, so that he can fall over.

The Islamic militant group Hamas said it would not stop the bombings. "If we have an effective weapon in our hands and the whole world is trying to take it off us, this kind of reaction shows it to be the most effective way," said Ismail Abu Shanab, a Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip. Hamas claimed responsibility for an attack Tuesday on a Jerusalem bus that killed 19 Israelis
They will never stop unless we wipe them out!

As said on another thread:
Arafat is like some little punk that will punch you when you're not looking, call for no more violence when you turn to confront him, then he'll wait for another opportunity to hit you again.
Israel must remove the threat.

All this denouncing of attacks doesn't change the fact people are dying every day at the hands of these terrorist. I am all for Israel defending their people and their land!!!
To: cubreporter
I heard on FOX this morning that the denouncing didn't go off quite as planned. Evidently there was some kind of a glitch with the radio broadcast so the denouncement never went out over the radio. Gee, imagine that. Can anyone confirm?

"Arafat Calls for Halt to Attacks"
again?? ph yeah, thats right, I forgot that he justified the attacks in arabic right after condeming them in English.
To: TruthShallSetYouFree
Didn't Arafat make a statement to his people sometime back to the effect, that when you hear me say to stop the attacks on Isreal, that will mean for you to go full speed ahead with more attacks. Somewhere on FR I saw this.
