Here's the new thread, all ready for Thursday.

Testimony recently discussed includes fingerprint evidence, as well as Westerfield's clean laundry. The Van Dam home was (strangely) devoid of fingerprints, except for a couple of latents that didn't match any of the pizza party people or, apparently, David Westerfield.

Westerfield's motorhome didn't contain any of his fingerprints, but did have one print from Danielle L. (the daughter of Westerfield's ex-girlfriend), Jennifer (a friend of Danielle L.), and a partial from Danielle Van Dam.

The prosecution said yesterday that they would be finished "in seven court days".

Yes, thank you. I just read the transcript of Jeffrey Graham, the fingerprint guy, and he said the evidence had been looked at dozens of times by Emerson.

OK, time for another "home experiment". This will be easy for all parents and grandparents, especially.

I am a right handed person so when I pick up a child, I hold the child in my left arm. Is that typical?

What if a person were left handed? Which arm would he or she most likely use?

Dave McNally, who moved in next door to the van Dams last Thursday, said he met the van Dams when they came over to introduce themselves Friday night.

"Danielle was with them; she was selling Girl Scout cookies," McNally said.

Last Thursday would have been 1/31...Fri being 2/1..the night she disappeared....when did they go intro themselves on Fri?

Of course it's typical...how else could you hold the child, stir the dinner, take a drink of wine and call to see when hubby is coming home?? :-)

I've read a similar article so it's not a typo. In fact, the article I read said the new neighbors bought the house on Thursday Jan. 31, and met the VDs a few hours before Danielle disappeared.

I will say re: selling GS cookies. Brenda said they went selling one day during the week. I can see categorizing an outing specifically to sell cookies separately from going to say "hi" to the new neighbor and using GS cookies as an icebreaker. I just met my new neighbor by buying Avon from the booklet she left on my door (first time in ages I bought Avon but they had some neat stuff on sale!LOL).
