What we did hear were complaints from Clinton allies like Paul Begala, speaking on Crossfire, that spending $200,000 to uncover $20,000 worth of damage in the White House was an outrageous waste of the taxpayer's money.

Typical Clintonism. Never mind that there was vandalism perpetrated on a national landmark, deflect the guilt elsewhere.

W needs to wake up and smell the coffee on what type of people he is dealing with. This "new tone/get along" crap doesn't work with gangsters.

Using Begala logic, if the Statue of Liberty is destroyed, spending a single penny on an investigation and capturing the culprits would be a "waste of taxpayer money" as the Statue was a gift.

Typical Clintonism.

Also typical Clintonism to stall, deny, and block investigation of willful wrongdoing then complain that the investigation took so long and cost so much money.

Wasn't it one of Jimmy Carter's ex-cabinet who was quoted as saying that today's Democrat party is nothing more than organized crime? I can't imagine W doesn't know what's going on, he's been in business and politics too long. Why he plays it this way, I don't know.
