What we did hear were complaints from Clinton allies like Paul Begala, speaking on Crossfire, that spending $200,000 to uncover $20,000 worth of damage in the White House was an outrageous waste of the taxpayer's money.Typical Clintonism. Never mind that there was vandalism perpetrated on a national landmark, deflect the guilt elsewhere.
W needs to wake up and smell the coffee on what type of people he is dealing with. This "new tone/get along" crap doesn't work with gangsters.

Using Begala logic, if the Statue of Liberty is destroyed, spending a single penny on an investigation and capturing the culprits would be a "waste of taxpayer money" as the Statue was a gift.

Typical Clintonism. Also typical Clintonism to stall, deny, and block investigation of willful wrongdoing then complain that the investigation took so long and cost so much money.

I can't imagine W doesn't know what's going on, he's been in business and politics too long. Why he plays it this way, I don't know.
