Bush won the national popular vote when you throw out the inner city precincts that went more than 90% for Gore - always a sign of fraud according to election experts - or those that had 110% turnout or stayed open 3 hours past the official closing time etc. These things happened in the rest of the country.

The rhetoric on this page supports your accusation -- the shrillness is absolutely totalitarian. Look at all the work they've expended spinning their loss! This is real fanaticism -- justifying the unjust, comprehensively and across the board, full sets of ginned-up numbers, lies wall-to-wall and in depth.

This page suggests to me that if these guys ever mounted a coup for real, they would make the Communist Party of the Soviet Union look like amateur hour if they got hold of the government. I'm mildly surprised they didn't require the Congress to summon the 3rd Infantry Division from its barracks to get the Clintons out of the White House on Inauguration Day ..... these guys sound like totally bitter last-ditch partisans, the kind of people you wouldn't even want to know.

There is a more workaday explanation for the effort expended here....or rather, for its pubicizing.......there's an election later this year, isn't there? And so this could be just a piece chumming the Demon Rats, putting the smell of blood on the air, calling all the rabid True Believers to the bitch-goddess's service this summer. Whaddayathink?

No, that number is in there.....five or six thousand votes, 90% Gore ballots -- and they're screaming their heads off about the 1100 (their estimate) Gore voters who were mistakenly purged from the rolls because the computer thought they were convicts? If the current leadership or DC was decapitated or a bad terrorist act happened, you could see calls again by Dems to impeach Bush or to replace the current system to be ruled by lefitst elites - elites that playing president at US universities as we speak.
