Golf Tournament Suspected of Offering Prostitution (More Proof That Golf is Awesome)

			NORCO — Riverside County sheriff's deputies raided a golf tournament Friday where participants were allegedly offered prostitutes, authorities said. "They were having a private golf tournament," said Deputy Lisa McConnell said. "Illegal acts of sex for money was offered during the tournament."

Numerous women could be seen detained on the grounds of Hidden Valley Golf Club and there were small tents placed on several of the greens, ABC7 reported from its helicopter over the course. About 50 men were detained also. Phone calls to the Hidden Valley Golf Club were unanswered. The 18-hole course is arrayed in a desert setting about 40 miles east of Los Angeles. While stationed in Korea, we conducted a sting/ raid of Song Nam Golf Course, which was ostensibly limited to U.S. personnel and their guests, though one would never know it...We received information that a Korean employee had been generating passes/ membership cards and selling them on the side to Korean nationals who had no association whatsoever, with the U.S. military or diplomatic corps. Access to the course was considered extremely prestigious, and the bogus access media fetched an extremely high price. On the day of the raid, the employee was, curiously enough absent, and to my knowledge, was never located, though we did nab a number of the bogus IDs on that day. During a search of the individuals desk, we located an underground golf/ porn mag (even soft core porn is illegal in Korea). One of our Korean linguists laughed when he saw the title, which translated to, "18 holes."
