We praise You this day for being our refuge and strength, our very present help in time of trouble. Thank You, Lord, for helping us to not fear, no matter what the circumstances; for You are in the midst of us. We shall not be moved because You will help us. You, our God, are a refuge to us; You are our glory and the lifter of our heads.
Merciful Lord, we confess that the sins of this nation are many and of tremendous consequence. Our consciences have nearly been driven from our hearts, and we have become adept at rationalizing every evil. Nearly one in four of our unborn is lost to abortion. We have allowed a militant group of feminists to attempt to speak for all American women, even though they speak only for themselves. We have promoted the idea that American mothers cannot be fulfilled unless they work outside the home. We have feminized the American male and have taught him he is unnecessary in raising children. We have been soft on child predators to the point where they have become sufficiently emboldened to steal children even from the shelter of their own homes. We have placed our children in second, third, even last place amongst our priorities. We have allowed our school systems to dictate what our children will believe about abortion, premarital sex, and homosexuality. Let Your mercy be upon us, Lord. Hide not Your face from us, Father, but send forth Your Spirit upon us to restore us.
Father, You are the God of second chances. You are our hiding place and our shield. You have given us children as Your special gifts---Your commitment to the continuation of Your creation. Help us to return to Your Word, for therein lies our hope. Let our lives be filled with Your wisdom, Your joy, Your peace, Your faith and Your guidance so that we may always continue to abound in hope through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to provide safe, loving homes for our children, with You as the head of each household.
Father, we pray that You would help our President to trust in You for every need he has. You have promised that if he trusts in You, You will make him like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river. You have promised to direct his paths when he trusts You will all his heart, and to encompass him with Your great mercy. Help him to continue in supplications and prayers night and day. Let him never place his trust in uncertain riches or any other thing, except You, our God, for You richly give him all things to enjoy. You are the source of all his security. You are his confidence; his strength and stronghold. Help him to take his stand upon Your Word, which is forever settled in heaven. Let Your Word fill his heart and mind whether he is awake or sleeping. Fill his mind with Your vision for America, Lord, and may Your will be done in this country.
Hear the prayers of Your children, Lord. Help us to be still and know that Your are God. May Your Holy Name be exalted among the nations and in all the earth. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
Joining my prayers with yours for our President and our Country.
I pray for children, Lord, today specifically for the endangered missing ones. I ask you to call many intercessors to pray for them. Call in angels to every situation of danger, and place Your laborers, heavenly and earthly, personally at every juncture that they could help in locating the missing or in bringing compassion and comfort. Supernaturally impart peace and the knowledge of your love. Visit by the Spirit with the message of the gospel, those that do not know you. As to the spirits that motivate their captors, subdue them Lord. I ask that every knee shall bow. I ask that you change their hearts or tie their hands.
Father God, You have blessed the United States with freedom to worship without being harmed or stopped. Thank you, Lord. May we not take this privilege for granted, or abuse it. May the blessing you have given us be upon our brothers and sisters around the world. Grant these brothers and sisters an anointing of light and the power to follow Jesus and yield to His Spirit. In Jesus' name.
