I just sent you the following e-mail in response to your e-mail acknowledging my donation. But I thought it might be appropriate to share it with the rest of Freeperdom. So here it is:
Thank you for acknowledging my donation. This is the first time I have ever received an acknowledgment, which is something I always thought FR should do. The fact that you are now acknowledging donations demonstrates the continuing sophistication and class of the FR website
If I may make a suggestion, I think it would be helpful to future fundraisers (or even this one, if there is time) if FR could publicly acknowledge those who donate. For example, maybe there could be a star on each donating member's profile, perhaps color coded to show what range of donation the member made. Possibly there could be a "Hall of Fame" page where you list the screen names of those who donate. Freeper peer pressure would go a long way towards encouraging those who never donate to do so.
Possibly there could even be additional levels of functionality made available to those who donate. (Not sure what that might be, or how one would implement it. Just trying to offer some food for thought.)

Thought it and spit it out! Respectfully, don't start this kind of stuff. It would ruin the debate. It's high school, elitst, and not Republican (except at the countryclub).
