This must be a joke. No American could feel this way.

Freedom of press, freedom of speech, does have some odiferous moments.

But it's worth it.

London's Guardian newspaper, which first reported the anti-terror war letter, called its signers "the widest ranging group of opponents of government policy since September 11."

Yeah, they run the gamut from marginally-talented, braindead America-hating leftists to completely talentless, braindead, America-hating leftists.

These kooks sound like the cast of "Marlin Perkins' Zoo Parade". It's the usual bunch of fully fledged socialists. They have always been like that...probably just to get attention ("naughty 3-year-old syndrome"...throwing a fit = getting attention).

These are people (especially Asner who hasn't landed a paying job in a long time) who would otherwise have become forgotten, trying to wave their last "I'm still here" flag. Without publicity, they are nothing and it's nature's revenge upon those who thrive on adulation.

Clinton is starting to feel it already.

Thought experiment:

Suppose I were Ed Asner’s neighbor. Suppose also that I believe I have a legitimate grievance against him – never mind what, precisely – just that I’m convinced I have a legitimate complaint against him. I’ve called the police; they don’t want to come out. I’ve called the papers; they’re not interested in the story. I’ve talked to my lawyer; he advised me I haven’t got a winning case. I've tried to talk to Mr. Asner; he's told me to "buzz off."

So I take a Louisville slugger, sneak into Asner’s yard, surprise him while he’s sunning next to his swimming pool and shatter both his knee caps, then give him a solid whack right in the bollocks.

Shouldn't he, politically correct liberal that he is, carefully examine his conscience for any misstep which led to this retribution? Would he refrain from judging or condemning my actions, since they were conducted from within a different, and equally valid, system of morals and values? Would he, politically correct liberal that he is, be willing to patiently listen to my grievance and make amends?

The usual suspects. If they were really that sorry I'd suggest they atone by killing themselves.

Lerner, the one-time publisher of Tukkun Magazine

For the record, I believe it's Tikkun Magazine. If you visit their website, take some anti-nausea medicine first.

" -----were a consequence of past U.S. military aggression."

Hmmm ---- Were they talking about:

Sudan and Afganistan to ofset the 'mea-culpa deposition'????
Operation Desert Fox to stall the impeachment debate????
Kosovo to block the Cox report????

Hmmm -- weren't these Clinton things?

Just turn off the TV when these people's faces uglify the screen-boycott any movie they are in-don't buy products that use them in commercials.

If the looney left squeeled and everyone had their fingers in their ears: Would that disgusting, repulsive ranting really make a sound?

This is actually a good thing for those of us who oppose these idiots. The more they cry and bitch, the more exposure they get, the less likely we are to have their "friends" in the Democratic party as our overseers in the near future.

I've heard some who classify themselves as Christians (and whom I would assume were righties based upon their thoughts on other issues) that also say America deserved this. It's nonsense of course - no one deserves to have 3,000 of it's citizens vaporized out of shear jealousy and hatred.

"In their sole reference to Sept. 11, the anti-war group suggests that the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were a consequence of past U.S. military aggression."

In the interest of fairness I would like to say this is not the same thing as saying that the U.S. deserved the attack.
