WASHINGTON - At least 286 New Yorkers were recorded as illegally double-voting in both the city and Florida in the 2000 presidential election, according to a Republican National Committee study. So did 207 New Jersey voters, suggesting double-dippers may have had a significant impact on the super-close election in which President Bush won Florida - and the White House - by just 537 votes.

Registering to vote without disclosing a prior registration is a crime punishable
by up to five years in prison in Florida and four years in New York.........

Thanks. Bears repeating in case someone missed it.

That's so, so easy to do for college students. There's always some voting registration drive on campus, but anyone who lives in dorms should properly vote in their parents' district. Only those who live off campus should register in their college town. There is No checking done to make sure students are registered in only one place. There needs to be much tighter standards and much more scrutiny.

I think it is a fair assumption that voter fraud skewed the 2000 election in the Rats' favor.

Fair, and so, so true.

You'd think these lamebrains who run elections would come up with solutions like yours.

It's apparant that officials they now have the names and addresses of these crooked voters from the New York/Florida axis of evil.

We should demand that the Miami Herald and other liberal fishwraps publish them on their front pages. Why not? They regularly publish the names and addresses of local offenders garnered from the daily police blotters.

Oh, I forget. These double-dippers may be subscribers or advertisers. That's more important to these rags than clean elections.

It's actually the law. Residency does not change for students who live on-campus. This is something you deal with if you pay tuition at a state institution. You want to be a bona fide resident. So you try to live off-campus, after two years, you've established residency and can pay a lower tuition rate.

The same applies to taxes and car insurance. Double-dipping needs to be stopped and people need to be tied to their vote. In PA, you do not need any ID at all to vote, just state a name. If you know people on the rolls who won't vote, it's very very very easy to commit fraud.

This reminds me of a picture I saw of a protestor with grungy arm pits holding up her protest sign that said, "I only got to vote once". Sheesh

The punishment for voting twice should be far more than 4 years in the pen, how bout they up it to 20 years no parole.

I have always maintained that George W Bush won the popular vote of sentient legal voters.

I think that may have been one of Registered's parodies. Was the guy next to her holding up a sign that said "I Was So Baked I Voted For Buchanan!"?

volunteers= people like you.

If you have a problem with your voting precinct, volunteer to work on election day. I've done it a lot. Not fun but somebody has to do it and your expertise would be appreciated.

Until then, don't bitch about the people who do. I always compared it to jury duty. People who do everything to get out of it, would be the first to hollar if they were dragged into court.

PS--this is not intended as a "putdown." I'm frustrated sometimes when I go to vote but when you've been on the other side of the table for several hours, you'll have a better understanding how really stupid voters can be.

Isn't this just great!

Maybe they can elect Hitlery to be senator from two states at once.

It was twenty-one years ago, but I don't recall being ASKED about prior registration when I moved to New York from Ohio, and I certainly didn't UN-register in Ohio. I figured they'd get the message when I didn't ever cast a vote in Ohio again.

So true. The “Chappaqua Chippie” is girding her loins for 2004.

The dims are praying Gore goes away... same with Lieberman and their whacko wives.

Daschle, Gepardt and Biden aren't prez timber.

The dims will push Kerry and Edwards. If neither takes a firm lead...

watch for the smelly, black pant-suit to claim her throne.

Aieeeeeeeee!!

....voting machines (placed) in polling places with votes already on them before the polls open

Actually the votes are put in after the polls close not before. The Democrats play it safe. If Gore wins there is no need to cheat. If he is behind they will need to cast a few more illegal votes than he needs to win. Democrats can't know how many ilegal votes they need until the actual votes in honest counties are reported. They hold controlled precincts back so they can pad votes in those precincts as needed.

The most devistating thing the media did was announce that GORE had won. The local Democrat precinct workers understood there was no need to implement the poll worker cheating. They are given guides such as if the returns are in a certain range the locals are to add x number of voters to that precinct. If Gore is down Y then add z gore votes.. If Gore only has K votes, don't cheat we can't save him. As soon as Gore has it won stop cheating, there is no need to take more chances by advertising huge destorted turn outs that are not needed to win.

With the medis having Gore winning easily, cheating was confined to individual acts... such as multi registration and voting in 2 states or two districts. That is typically not party organized. People just do it.

Democrats have just one problem. Extraordinary turnouts in very poor districts election after election would really stand out. They only do it when they need to do so.

The number of votes that can be stolen is limited. It is hard to get away with voting more people than live in a precinct. It is a DEAD giveaway. If the number votes they have to cheat with are not enough to make their guy win, they do not cheat. They in effect cheat only when cheating is needed to allow them to win.

Democrats in strongly controlled democratic areas have a large number of voters registered who will not vote. In some counties of Flordia and in all the big cities there are no Republican poll watchers. You'll recall all the election officials in some districts in Floridal were Democrats. Even though that is illegal. All Democrats mean that is where they cheat.

The people illegally voted may be dead, but more than likelty they just don't vote. The party workers canvas door to door to get them registered before the election. Typically they are paid 10 or 20 bucks as a "good citizen registration fee." Then if on election day they need their vote, the poll workers vote for them.

Look at the turn out for 2000 in cities like Philly. The turn out in Democratic wards was fantastic. They did what it took to win PA for Gore. If after the election, the records are checked you will find that Mary Jones lived at a proper address, she registered properly and voted properly. The fact she never actually went to the polls to vote is very hard to prove with only democrat witnesses

Gore would have won if it were not for the media. The precinct workers watch the media. When the media said Gore had won they stopped voting people illegally, turned in the ballots and records, and went to the Gore victory party.

By the time that proved to be untrue the only strategy left to Gore was kill military ballots and challenge properly cast ballots.

It is a very safe bet that if the networks had kept quiet, Gore would be president today.

Thanks for posting this thread.

I was alerted to this double registering by a conservative friend who lived in the NE. He retired and kept a condo in the NE for the late Spring to early fall to live in. They purchased a condo in Florida. He sounded this warning in 1999 and no one would listen to him in Florida and his former home state.

He sounded the warning that there had to be 100,000's of what he called the double vote dipping Bagle/Lox democrats in Floriduh. They bragged about it at cocktail parties and to whom ever listened to them. They registered in their cold weather state and voted by absentee mail there for their local and national rats. Then, in Floriduh, in the November elections, they voted for the local rats, and their national rats, like the Goron and the Clintoon in 92/96.

So Goron got two votes from these slimey SOB's. One in the snow state by absentee ballots, and then they voted for Goron in Floriduh.

My friend was sure that this was happening in Arizonia, So Tx, and probably SoCal with the same pattern. Rats in the snow belt in the Midwest states and the wet Pacific NW voting for their rat candidates by absentee ballot, and then they would vote in November in person at their state of choice for the winter.

When, these double vote dippers were challenged by my friend they would just laugh at him and say what rats of all ages say, "Everyone does it! Don't You!"

They need to arrest about 10,000 of these people, fine them big time and then offer rewards to info leading to the arrest of more double voting dipping snow birds.
