So he didn't request stringently enough and 90+ percent of the American people didn't want him to bother with formalities....we wanted him to lay on with the forpower while congress was busy making a collective yellow puddle under their chairs, BEGGING him to to this, citing eighteenth century precedent and covering their political butts.

Congress made the request. It's Bush's fault. Right.

ake crumb, I don't know what you think I'm saying, but it's not an accurate read of what I wrote. I'm happy with this congressional authorization, and as far as I know, so's Bush. It's a cluster of thick headed fired up misinformed wannabes generals here who're screaming for a formal Declaration of War. There's also a lot fo 'blame America first' people calling for it, knowing how much it would tie our hands.
