As to the question, you need to provide more information. Like for instance,,did he do it? Right now he is accused.
My comments concern the rights we possess. Like the right to a trial. If he has none, I have none. That's problematical for me.
After that, if he is guilty, we can chat about what the penalties should be for various crimes. I have no pity on the guilty. Particularly those of heinous nature.
As a libertarian, I haven no problem with the father doing whatever he wants to this guy, up to killing him, as long as the father accepts the judment of a fully-informed jury at his own trial for murder or what have you.
