[history]
They're at it again, those coercive utopians, trying to re-master humanity in their own image, this time via the radical dictates of the United Nations' Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, CEDAW for short. This sovereignty-eroding treaty first took shape some 23 years ago, and now, with 169 signatories not including the United States, serves as a platform from which Brave New Worlders take aim at nations for failing to impose "full equality between men and women." The U.N. sees such "equality"

Burn the UN flag! Boot the bums! Since Sudan is so much better with human rights, tell them to pack up and ship their HQ to Sudan.

OK, say it passes. Euro-peons will swallow a whole mess of feminist crap and the USA will be denounced by all.
Including Iran, Iraq, Sudan, China, etc.

CEDAW urges women into combat, abortion on demand and the legalization of prostitution. That works great for US females in the military. 80% of them admitted they won't fight. So they could legally offer their bodies in exchange for their lives, continue to prostitute themselves for promotions and cash, and then get paid by the US taxpayer for defending us. [My apologies to the 20% who actually meant what they said when they vowed to defend us.]

Good. They can get it over with and reject the stupid thing.
To: kattracks
I still don't understand why they need our permission to so they can stop abusing their women. I don't get it.
To: kattracks
What we need is a president who both can, and will, tell these people to get stuffed. I'm waiting.

We have our own Supreme Court Justice who believes abortion is legal on the grounds of Equality, not Privacy. (Ginsberg).

I don't get it.I can see that.
First of all, who are you referring to when you say "they"?
The United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations is having a hearing on the ratification of the United Nations CEDAW treaty. This pertains to the acceptance or refusal by the UNITED STATES to be bound by the rules of this treaty.
The CEDAW treaty wants to make motherhood and fatherhood, and traditional family roles, illegal. It's the ERA gone postal. It's against human nature . The UN eventually wants control over children, and have all parents in the workforce. They want to eliminate the "family". They want references to the traditional family removed from textbooks. Please re-read the threads on CEDAW posted this week.

Please re-read the threads on CEDAW posted this week. They are doing so under the guise that women in other countries need protection from abuse. So I say, why do they need the permission of the US to stop abusing their own females. If they are willing to sign a treaty why can't they just stop themselves from abusing their own women.
If they want my permission to stop abusing their women then by all means they have it.

Only that now it is dressed in the politically correct feminist form.

This is being done Country by Country. How do you get "THEY need OUR permission" out of this discussion. I know you are confused. As am I. Could be I agree with you. I don't know???

I don't know???They, meaning the signing countries, apparently need to have this treaty signed before they can stop abusing their women. Apparently they cannot stop abusing their women until we(the US) give them permission to stop.
So, in lieu of a treaty and all the work it entails I will send them a signed note on my personal letterhead that gives them permission to stop abusing their women.
