Sure I did. Some rights are conferred upon individuals by the public, some aren't.

Depends on the right at issue.

Hey, the state (or, more specifically, the PEOPLE of the state) doesn't have the right to stop Larry Flynt from screwing a pig on his front porch everyday at noon.. As long as he owns both pig and porch, right?

I mean, states basically mean nothing.. everyone should just do whatever..
