Along with cataloguing over $20,000 worth of damage to the White House by departing Clinton staffers, Tuesday's General Accounting Office report also busted former Vice President Al Gore for making off with a White House sculpture that he kept for six months.
A bust of Abraham Lincoln, which had been on display in the White House, mysteriously vanished with the Clinton-Gore gang.
But according to the GAO report, the artwork hadn't gone missing at all - but instead had found a new home with Al and Tipper in Tennessee.
An ex-Gore staffer told the GAO that other Gore aides had "inadvertently packed" the Lincoln bust and shipped it off to the Gore homestead, reported the New York Post.
The former second couple managed to hang onto the statue till July 11, 2001, which, of course, was also inadvertent.

Is Al related to KKT by any chance?

I'm surprised they'd take a bust of a Republican president. Maybe they were just trying to save it from being trashed by the Clintons and their staff.... ; ')

And Blow Job Clinton said he would pay also!!! Yeah RIGHT!

I'm surprised they'd take a bust of a Republican president. You really think algore knew who it was. Al is not very good with recognizing busts of famous people.

Nice work Nick Danger!
He looks like an auctioneer. Can't wait until the Gore's and Clinton's have their yardsale to raise bail money. BTW check out Ebay auction #880826087. The seller's user name is "hotantiques".

My thoughts exactly, algore's office is not in the White House, it's in the Old Executive Office Bldg....correct me if I am wrong.

How many presidents/vice-presidents left the WH without inadvertently packing up the statue? How long has it been there? When I left my company, if I inadvertently ended up with a priceless piece of company property, I would have been charged with theft (or at least receipt of stolen property). This is just another example that the 'rules' apply only to us - not them.........

In The People of the Lie, M. Scott Peck, listing the various traits of the truly evil, says, "They are astonishingly greedy." I'm not familiar with the book. Is it a biography of the Hildebeest or Bill?

Whoops. Guess he will have to pull this item #880826087 off of Ebay now.
Bidding was only at $45.00 anyway.

I take it y'all didn't take the time to actual read Norwood/Dingle. Section 124.35 reads:
Any outgoing, card-carrying democratic White House staffer may pilfer, vandalize, or otherwise requisition any historical artifacts of their choosing without regard to ramifications, retribution, or restitution.

LOL! Or probably he didn't REALIZE that it was anybody famous. He'd probably already floated the whole beard thing to his staff, and thought they'd had the bust made as an illustration of how he'd look.

What's so pathetic about Gore is that it isn't entirely his fault.
I've read where his parents used to have him perform his little liberal politician act whenever thay had guests. Al would come out and blame Republicans for poisoning the water, killing Social Security and putting 30-weight oil on Tarzan's vine.
He was forced into it and now all that is left is this little brainwashed (I guess they just about washed all of it away) liberal trying to be president.

I see that the seller of that bust of Lincoln is from the Baltimore area of New York...

Maybe Algore Junior needs to bone up on geography as well as history and art...

Ain't it the truth. His dad, Senator Algore Senior, never got his party's nomination (he was shunned aside by the attention his fellow Tennessee senator, Estes Kefauver, recieved). Kefauver played up on parents' fears of juvenile delinquency and organized crime.
After Algore Senior's moment had passed, he focused his efforts on crafting his son to be a professional politician

It is a classic. Get it and read it. It isn't a bio of anyone in particular, although it will leave you with no doubt whatsoever that the Rapist and the Enabler are truly evil, by Peck's definition.
