Thanks for the excellent info!

My question is "why was there anyone other than Christians present if not to look for trouble and be disruptive?" In my opinion, it is the same thing as if they came into a church and condemned what was being taught. The crude audacity of these people is astounding. Even Christians don't presume to enter a mosque and condemn Muslims for their false teachings even though we know it is false and may try to reach them in other ways. There are boundaries, or at least there should be and I have nothing but contempt for those who presume to violate those boundaries.

Gotta love those 'tell it like it is' preacher-men! LOL!I love 'tell it like it is' people!!! Even when it hurts! This guy is fabulous! I had no idea Mohammad married a little nine year old girl! That is DISGUSTING! Perverted!!! And.....TWELVE WIVES?????????????? Gish. No wonder the Arabs treat women like dirt.

"This pastor hasn't said anything that isn't the truth, but now what he says is hate filled" "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but {wanting} to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires" (2 Tim. 4:3)

"I don't remember many headlines when, on TV, Jesus was called the same or worse." No, they just bleep out the name of Jesus. Far be it from network tv to offend anyone....Never mind all the sleazy disgusting behavior, the promotion of homosexuality, the shameless profanity....obviously the people who are offended by THAT sort of thing don't deserve consideration.

"...Finally somebody with the guts to state the obvious! Islam is a cult founded by devil worshippers. Israel, tear down those domes and expel the evil ones from your nation!...
It bears repeating.

"I don't agree with his theology but I am a member of his church" Did I get this right?

"...Comments like that accomplish exactly nothing except to make Muslims-- you know, the good hard-working, law-abiding ones-- angry and create ill-will..." Do you honestly care how a moslem, of ANY stripe, feels about this?
If you do, I hope that you care enough for both of us, because I couldn't care less what a moslem thinks about the good Reverend's well stated observation.
If these cultists don't find the atmosphere here to their liking let them get the Hell out.
That, or renounce their filthy, obscene death-cabal.

"I don't agree with his theology but I am a member of his church" Did I get this right? Almost. My brother and his family are members of the First Baptist Church where Dr. Vines is a pastor. I am Catholic.

"making incendiary remarks about someone's religion--be they Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, or Muslims-- isn't going to accomplish anything positive" I respectfully disagree. We need to recognize the enemy and the enemy is Satan. GW's now often quoted phrase, "you are either with us or you're with the terrorists" is not exactly original. It is a variant of the words of Jesus:
"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me, scatters" (Luke 11:23)
"If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand." (Mark 3:25)

Yeah, I have thought about that. It is a wonder that American gay men do not go over there, they would be VERY popular (esp if blond, blue-eyed, fair-skinned and hairless-bodied)!
I honestly don't know what one could do if he had to try to go on these campuses today, what could an ordinary average non-pervert DO? I wish the states would de-fund them for a start.

.........Muhammad, Islam's revered founder, a "demon-possessed pedophile." In yo face, Hassan.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
I wish to correct my previous post wherein I said, "I realize not all Muslims are Islamists...". I meant to say not all Muslims are Islamic terrorists...".
To: CyberCowboy777
""If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand." Quite the contrary...some tried to get him to take the mantle of leadership in the rebellion against the Romans but He would have no part of it saying that He would not conquer by the sword. That was the world's way.

ME too, and hope they don't back down and apologize.

We need to recognize the enemy and the enemy is Satan.
The Islamic religion is horrifically flawed. I simply question the wisdom of a public figure blatantly offending billions of Islamics. Offending them won't convert them. Rather, it will put them on the defensive and create hostility toward Christians, particularly Baptists-- Southern and otherwise-- all around the world. To what positive goal?
To: don-o
...it makes me proud to see my ancestors make good use of their bully pulpit. It shouldn't be just the pastors. In true Baptist custom, every believer is a minister of God.
This is the reaction to a few speaking the truth. What might happen if the body of Christ entire came alive, and spoke out of humble love?
You and I know what would happen, indeed: persecution. Maybe it's time to face that though... we're purified and made stronger through persecution and tribulation. And we've had it way too soft of late.
