10 bombs......

I thought Yasser was speaking metaphorically when he threatened a "Huge Explosion" on the West Bank

Paging pinging Powell, Bush, anyone???? Oh right, socialists think we cannot tell them how to prevent terror on their home turf, yet they can chide Israel and have Christian (collaborating or not) Palies murdered in the process too.

Don't they know that? What would happen if it happened in America???

Root causes? Natural causes? Inevitability? Sinless? Uh?

First thought that ran through my mind...10 bombs would have been that huge explosion. Seems IDF ruined the party. Oh can we harm or kill him yet? Nah...he is the elected leader of the Palestinian people...I keep forgetting that. Anyone else and this guy would be run out of the country or dead. We look like a bunch of pussies for letting this continue.

I think Bush should be very very very ashamed of himself.

Sorry to say but winning via deception is honored in the Arab culture. You are seen as a clever victor.

"Nah...he is the elected leader of the Palestinian people..."

He has no political competition in the PA territories. If he has any competitors they'd be dead. For what it's worth, I wish Yasser would just go up in a huge (ACCIDENTAL) explosion. The world would be a better place without him...

They were clearly planted there by Ariel Sharon. The evil, Zionist press is distorting reality again.

"They (Arabs) are products of a culture in which to tell a lie...creates no dissonance. They don't suffer from the problem of telling lies that exists in Judeo-Christian culture."

Interesting.
My experience with the Japanese suggests they feel the same way.
In fact, I was told once that the truth is "whatever you can make someone believe" - and this was before Bill Clinton!

My responses on the other thread:

The bombs were found in the West Bank city of Ramallah, in the headquarters of the Force 17 praetorian guard headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

Well, well, well. Of coure, the "Nobel Peace Prize" (gag!) winner knew nothing about this. Attention Bush/Powell, need a "Bush Doctrine" cleanup on aisle seven.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials said Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told President Georget Bush that Syria has delivered 400 improved Katyusha rockets to the Iranian-backed Hizbullah movement. Sharon's message was delivered during during his meeting Monday at the White House. The officials said Sharon, briefed by Mossad officials, urged Bush to stop the Iranian and Syrian aid for the Hizbullah buildup along the Lebanese border with Israel.

I'm sure Sharon added: "Or we will do it."

Officials said this was the first time that Syria has provided direct military aid to Hizbullah. For the last 20 years, Hizbullah was solely financed and equipped by Iran.

Iran, Syria, what's the diff. Take them both out. "Bush Doctrine", where are you?

It's like Attack of the Clones with Bill Clinton as the original template.

I like your suggestion, but would offer a slight modification. The bomb's should be attached to Arafat's wife and each of his children. Each time there is terrorist attack on the Israeli people, one of the bombs liberated from Arafat's compound should be detonated.

Good idea. Although I doubt he would care about the wife and kids, so we still need to save the last bomb for him.

My experience with the Japanese suggests they feel the same way.

Maybe most people are happy to lie to and deceive outsiders. The Japanese have the ability to make a civil society so I think they don't lie to each other so much that their society cannot hold together.
Islamic/Arabs probably lie a lot more to "infidels" than to each other. Though many of their societies are not civil but are chaotic such as Algeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Gaza/West Bank etc......

Thanks for the ping. But I doubt the rest of the world believes it. And after Jenin, I bet the world still believes the Palestinians over the Israelis.

If you suggest any similarity between militant arab culture and the Japanese I think it is hyperbole. Maybe they lied to get favorable trade status in the 1980s, but at least they have an economy and a GNP which is more than we can say about any arab nation. Getting into my wallet is one thing-- blowing up my family to sleep w/ 80 virgins is quite another

Arafat claims no knowledge.

I don't know a damned thing and I can prove it
