Amazing Resemblance of Jose Padilla and the OKC John Doe

I can't find a single resemblance between Land and the composite--except they both appear to be makes. Land has a remarkably displaced nose, and a pronounced chin. Looks like his long hair is covering what we used to call "Dumbo" ears.

The eyes are wrong.Padilla's slant upward to the outside, like cat's. Not something I think would go unnoticed by someone describing John Doe #2 to a sketch artist.

I recall seeing an FR thread with a comparison of one of the 9/11 hijackers or post 9/11 suspects that was a better match to JD2 than Padilla.

Keep in mind, Padilla converted to Islam in 1993 and the OKC bombing was in 1995. With the planning time necessary, how likely is it that Al Qaeda would entrust a newbie with the one largest terrorist bombings ever attempted to that point?

I think it is a very good match between Padilla and OKC John Doe#2, almost as good as John Doe#1 and McVeigh.

There is no way that the two sketches could be of the same person. There must be three John Does. The guy in the picture that you posted looks white and has long hair. I don't remember anything about a pony tail in the John Dow #2 descriptions.

Still, I'd be interested in a text description of JD #2, considering that candidates don't look much like Padilla.

You are looking at the recent photo. His chin is much broader now than it was in the older photo that was posted. He has put on alot of weight. He only weighed 170 pounds in 1991.

Note: Jose converted to Islam in early 90s. He was convicted of battery on a jail officer and resisting without violence in January 1992. He pleaded guilty and spent 10 months behind bars. Court records also show Padilla with speeding convictions in 1993 and 1997, and his driver's license was suspended in 1996.

So he was out and about in 95, and he had already converted to Islam. By helping McVeigh, he would have shown his conviction to the cause and moved up on the food chain easily. So now, we need to establish what the heck he was doing in 94 and 95, as a former felon and Islam convertee.

According to CNN: "Padilla spent 303 days in the Broward County Jail and was sentenced to a year's probation.

After his release in 1992, Padilla was cited for several traffic violations in South Florida, Broward County officials said. His most recent violation was in November 1997."

It appears he was in Florida for most of the '90s. John Doe 2, if he exists, was probably never in the country after the bombing on anything more than a spot basis.
