During the RevWar and the War Between the States we--temporarily--lost some freedoms. We need to TEMPORARILY lose some freedoms again rather than lose 10% of the population as you say. I say NUTS.

Since you're throwing around percentages of dead American's, that realte to 2.85 million to 28.5 million, let me give you another percentage to think about. I'd say 99.5% (plus or minus 0.5%) of all American's, disagree with you. You can't have freedom without security and with all due respect to old Ben Franklin, you can't have liberty without safety.

You make points that, I agree, are good, though I disagree in general with your sentiments. I do think that war creates special situations -- your position is analagous to those who continue to oppose the use of profiling.

And this is truly war. The point here isn't that any of our sons are being drug off to foreign wars in great numbers, the situation is that the sons of foreigners are flooding here to kill our people in great numbers.
