This editorial appeared in my paper this morning and pretty much sums up what agencies will be part of this new Cabinet office.

Now debate on here all you want because this editorial was put up by a Bush supporter (me) who supports this Homeland Security since none of the naysayers seemed to be able to put up a Thread about Homeland Security to debate. Instead they preferred to debate on a thread after being asked not to countless times. That activism thread was only put up to give out phone numbers to call their Congressman and Senators to voice their support or let them know how they felt.

This Office of Homeland Security (OHS?), should remove any doubt that we have a MBA in the White House. This massive restructuring will get rid of a lot of dead wood(read clinton holdovers), support our "new" overidding mission (read long over due strategic focus willfully ignored by clinton) and reduce overhead. What in this proposal is there to debate? Not much unless you want to get into the turf wars. Those who do will be so politically unpopular, their lives will be miserable.

I've been computerless since the 8th! Then I was stuck in a hotel that only offered CNN and MSNBC for news! YUCK!! I was half-way starting to think MSNBC wasn't too bad until last night's news report and whoa was it anti-Bush/Republican in every respect.

Anyway, I'm back and I see nothing has changed here at FR:) The Bush Bashers are as loud and obnoxious as ever.
