The untold story of the slaughter of Christians and Catholics since the inception of Islam and it's getting worse today,e.g. Africa. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the World, kind of scarey, isn't it? I have Coptic friends who had to flee Egypt from the persecution of their people. Many are killed in "so-called" staged accidents on their way to church, how clever of them. What they do is plan accidents with trucks slamming into them; they kill children going to school in school buses and others going to church.

Oh, and all of you out there who like the idea of a NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARD, OR SAMART CARD, think again, they have them in Egypt, and it's used AGAINST CHRISTIANS, seems the governing authority, MUSLIMS, use the cards to profile, harass and get even with the Coptic Christians, (religious preference is on the card) by not giving them jobs, setting them up for religious execution, by not frequenting their stores if they are in business, in other words, they are treated as 2nd-class citizens in their country where a religious faith of totalitarism is paramount. Sure, it sounds kind of innocuous now, but wait and see who is in office and what additions they put on the card: religion, political party, gun owner, right to life, etc., Do you remember a time when the social security card was issued and was NEVER used for identification--it was even printed on the bottom or the card--not to be used for identification. Now you can't even buy a cell phone without giving your Social Security number. Even conservative Chuck Muth requests it for his long distance service!

We are so blessed to be Americans, really blessed. How many of us would keep the faith in the USA?

If all that Mr. Trifkovic writes is true then this is a religious war and better be understood as one. I understand that President Bush cannot declare it so as there are American Citizen who are Muslims. However, we who are American Citizens who are not Muslim must understand this is a war against all who are infidels (any and all non muslims), and our death, or conversion is the goal. The fall of our economics, freedoms, tolerance, rights the very things our Constitution protects are grist for their death mill.

This is very frightening in it's historical succeess overwhelming. This is a war we are fighting that will go on forever, and we must be vigilent that we do not become complacent, because it can happen that we lose all that we have. Europe is in a panic right now over the large Muslim immigration, rightly so, it appears.

I read well into this thinking it was a valuable compendium until I came to the portion dealing with Turkey amd the Christians of western Anatolia . While the allegations are correct, Trifkovic omits some relevant facts, for one, the invasion of the Greek army as the sultanate fell. The Greeks made a grab for the Ionian coast. The Greek tactics were quite in keeping with the way of war and conquest that existed in that part of the world and the Greeks were repaid in the accustomed coin.

If the fact of the greek invasion had been included, I would be more trusting of the rest of the article.

At the outset of the Islamic conquests under Muhammad's successors all of these lands were 100 percent Christian. At the outset of the Ottoman rule they had a Christian plurality, and in Palestine and Lebanon the outright majority. Under the British Mandate, Palestine officially was a Christian country, with Bethlehem having a population that was 90 percent Christian.

BTW until 1910 or thereabouts, Instanbul was a majority Christian ( orthodox ) city

The author of The New Persecuted: Inquiries into Anti-Christian Intolerance in the New Century of Martyrs, Antonio Socci, has been accused that by raising the issue of Christian suffering in the Muslim world he "demonizes Islam."

No one can demonize Islam at this point. It's too late. Islam is already thoroughly demonized by Islam.

Another article dealing with Socci. Some here on FR won't like the truth--45 million Christians--primarily Catholic and Orthodox--slaughtered in the 20th century. Funny, how the Christians don't revel in victimhood. No statues, monuments or taxpayer funded museums to be found. The American media and academia sicken me for their participation in stifling this information.

Islam has become an institutionalized evil because of Saudi Arabia's funding of Wahhabi maniacs who have transformed Islam around the world into a front for hatred and violence against human beings, a front that only serves the agenda of the devil.

The peace solution for Israel and Palestine is for all Muslims to be evicted from Israel and the Occupied Territories. Then in the West Bank and Nazareth an Arab Christian state needs to be established welcoming Palestinian Christians back and providing a place of refuge for Iraqi Christians and others.

Socci provides evidence that in the past 2,000 years some 70 million Christians have been killed primarily or exclusively for the reason of their faith, two-thirds in the past 100 years alone, with Joseph Stalin as the chief culprit. He says that an average of 160,000 Christians have been killed every year since 1990, the vast majority by Muslims in the Third World.

Islam(I slam?), the religion of peace. < /sarcasm >

How many of us would keep the faith in the USA?

The question is not will we defend our faith on US soil - but WHEN.

Coleus, we need to stop funding Mubarak, period. And I agree with your admonition. A national I.D. is a disastrous idea -- and if it is married with the identity chip implants, you have something really diabolical IMO.

No statues, monuments or taxpayer funded museums to be found.

It is even politically incorrect to bring the subject up. Doing so minimizes the suffering of others, dontja know.
