Agreed. Now if only the Lefties on TV, in the courts, and at DemocraticUnderground.com would get a clue. Note to any terrorists lurking at this site: please target the above mentioned idiots and leave the rest of us Americans alone.

I haven't gotten to read the specifics of this (the press release (otherwise known as BS), but I think this may be a case of disaster recovery.

The FBI and CIA are in deep doodoo at the present time for not working together, not recognizing potential terrorist activity when it is hitting them in the face, covering up, etc.

So, they arrest some poor schnuck on trumped-up charges, and then do a big media blitz on it to impress the American Public.

Yeah, we're all safe now. No need to worry or continue investigations into the FBI,CIA shortcomings! Per John Ashcroft.

"Yes, he is an American Citizen now, but that doesn't mean that at one time he wasn't an illegal alien who later received amnesty."

Trying to advance your BS agenda at any cost, aren't you?

At least I'm happy that you're exposing your complete ignorance. The second you saw a Hispanic last name this guy was automatically an alien, and an illegal one at that.

He is Puerto Rican, and Puerto Ricans are natural-born American citizens.

He definately should have been "tribunaled" imho

I concur. There is no reason to expose the jurors, judges and their families to the distinct possibility of revenge and/or threats to them and theirs.

Because any sleeper agents like this Jose Padilla have exactly the same rights and privileges of citizenship as idiots like you.

Excuse me, but what did I say to deserve that kind of reaction from you?

Ok folks..anybody here still believe Islam is still a Religon of Peace?(TM) Time for the rest of the sheeple to wake up to the fact there is a WAR on. Personally, I think we Freepers should readopt an old phrase everytime we see somebody do or say something that would harm the war effort "Hey mac, don't you know there's a war on?" Worked the last time around.

Look, I don't want to start a panic, but last I heard, they were looking for this guy's partner, and Zubidah might have given up these guys because there's another operation that's a LOT closer to frutition, something far worse and nasiter, and this was meant as a diversion. I mean, this guy's a gangbanger who found Allah while doing time in a FL prison...doesn't sound to me like your first string of nasty terrorist types...nah, there is something we're missing..and that scares me even more.

I think you forgot a helluva lot of radical muslims. Not all Muslims are terrorists Luis but the terrorists who have been killing Americans for the last thirty years are, by a very large majority, Muslims.

I'll give you this. You got the ages and the sex right and you didn't post a picture of any Grandmas so you're on the right track, but it needs work.

Tancredo" sounds kinda Hispanic too, yes?

Good point. Maybe we should return him.

At the very least the name sounds EYE-talian. Probably a mob boss to boot.

"This is a US citizen that's not going to be tried in Court? Is that right? What's the proposed alternative and why?"

This is about yje Dirty Bpmber. Tomorrow there will be nonthing else in print but this. The bottom line here is that this guy is not talking and the statute of limitation for holding him was about to expire (30 Days) with no charges. The US Attorney could bot get him indicted because the piority was on to protect sources and methods, so a decision by DOJ was made to change his status using WW II legal citations.

He hs been turned over to DOD for detainment without charge. Thats what this was all about. That is why this one month old story came to light today. They couldn't hold him anymore. My problem is very simple. The Constitution and because I disagree I have been labled one of those. Far from it.

:I would disagree with your other premise. Nothing in the Constituion requires America to treat people who are trying to kill us by the millions the same as the rest of its citizens. It simply is not a suicide pact. The Geneva Convention even recognizes that saboteurs and terrorists need to be held incommunicado for what, to most, are readily apparent reasons."

First read the Constitution!

"...you didn't post a picture of any Grandmas so you're on the right track..."

Not one available yet, but don't believe for one second that there are no possibilities of there being one someday.

I think you're wrong there Luis, the danger is definitely from the other end of the human life span. Radical ideology and courage get beaten down by the years. The folks blowing tying semtex to their underwear in the middle east are getting younger, not older.

Perhaps we should say: "Hey mac, don't you know there's a Congressional, statuatory authorization for the use of force on?" instead..
