June 3, 2002: Suddenly the horizon turns orange. Clouds glow strange shades of purple and pink, and the Sun itself swells ... bigger and redder than ever. Another lovely sunset.
You've probably seen so many that you hardly notice any more. But, if you live in North America, pay attention next Monday for something extraordinary as twilight approaches.
The setting Sun will be a crescent.

A solar eclipse will occur on 10 June. The setting sun in the US will be a crescent. The symbol of Islam is a crescent, giving the evening a very powerful symbolic meaning. The evening of the 10th in the US will be the 11th in the Middle East, the 9-month anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. I'm not predicting anything, just be vigilant.

Creepy, esp. in view of Arafat's warning that a "big explosion" could occur.

I think this is a real reach. Al Qaida isn't spending their time digging into the vagaries of North American astronomical anomolies. They're going to strike when we're not expecting it, not on some holy day.

On the other hand it would be a very powerful symbolic act to attack US infrastructure (with the power grid a likely target) and then have the dark US cities of the Atlantic coast lit by the light of a setting crescent (Islamic) sun.
Reported here on Free Republic have been lots of sightings of Middle Eastern men taking pictures and generally scouting out power stations, hydroelectric dams, and oil refineries in the last few months.

This is too spooky for me... Gives me the creeps. I am easily creeped out, though. The book of revelations scares me too. I just bought a new car and I turn 31 on the 13th. Too much going on in less than a week if you ask me. Not that any one thing has to do with the other, but, hey, things were goin' good for me, I like to keep it that way.

The word he used to describe June 10th, 11th was "cataclysmic", I do believe. This is creeping me out more and more all the time.

Does the world face a catastrophe on June 11th?

McVeigh Put to Death
Oklahoma City Bomber Says Nothing
Prior to His Execution
June 11 Six years after committing the deadliest act of terrorism on U.S. soil, a silent, defiant Timothy McVeigh was executed today before hundreds of victims and family members, leaving only a written statement that concluded: "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." [...]

Very dramatic and symbolic, but surely not bloodthirsty enough for their taste. Pretty wild idea though!

The only thing that creeps me out is that Bush hasn't interned all foreign nationals from Arabic countries and started the buidup of forces in the region for an attack on Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and any other subhuman nation that messes with us.
The ragheads used to do this to the Russians, blowing up apartment buildings in Russian cities, but Moscow massacred thousands in Chechnya, so they have turned their sights on the US and Israel.
Massacre in Chechen town, censorship in Russia
By Chris Hunter, AEN News
10 February 1996
[Peace Media Service] The Chechen town of Samashki, formerly with a population 65,000 people, has been completely destroyed by troops of the Russian United Forces, according to reports from inhabitants who managed to flee to neighboring Sernovodsk. They report that hundreds of women and children were killed by Russian troops. The attacks began the night of April 7-8. The town is near the Chechen border with Ingushetia. The village was completely sealed off April 9. No one was allowed to leave and journalists and the International Committee of the Red Cross workers were denied access. Refugees report having seen women, children and old people being run over by tanks and others shot. Many village inhabitants hid in the cellars of their houses. Russian soldiers, after destroying houses, reportedly bombed the cellars too, killing those inside. Russian authorities say the attack was necessary because Chechen (TERRORISTS)fighters were hiding in the town

Crescent moon over Waco, TX
To: FreedomCalls
So, in other words, you're saying this isn't.........
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

Hey, I recognize that building! I visit Waco every now and then and we call that the "Waco Tower." (City slicker humor...) Did you take that picture? How interesting to have a picture taken in the waning hours of our innocence...

Yes, I took that picture. I had just bought a new tripod and wanted to try night photography. The moon was interesting that night, so I tried to get it in a few shots, and did have a fleeting thought that it was an Islamic moon. I knew instantly that Islamic terrorists had struck when the planes hit the towers. Such a cold shiver up my spine then - followed by the paralyzing horror.
