CAIRO (Reuters) - A statement claiming to be from al Qaeda spokesman Sulaiman bu Ghaith has warned the United States it would face more attacks, which could involve non-conventional weapons.
The statement was carried Sunday on a Web site, www.alneda.com, which has in the past issued statements that claimed to be from Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda and news on Afghanistan, where the group was based.
"We are still at the beginning of the road," Bu Ghaith said in the statement. "The Americans have not yet suffered from us what we have suffered from them."
He said the United States had killed, directly or indirectly, thousands in Iraq, Palestinian territories, Afghanistan, Sudan, Philippines, Bosnia and Kashmir.
"So we have the right to kill four million Americans, including one million children, displace double that figure and injure and cripple hundreds of thousands," he said.
"We have the right to fight them by chemical and biological weapons so that they catch the fatal and unusual diseases that Muslims have caught due to their (U.S.) chemical and biological weapons," he said.
It was not clear when the statement in Arabic was posted on the Web site, to which access is often difficult.
The comments were made in the third of a series of articles headlined "Under the Shadow of Spears."
Bu Ghaith, a Kuwaiti-born cleric, emerged as an al-Qaeda spokesman after the September 11 attacks on the United States. Kuwait has withdrawn his nationality.
The United Sates accuses bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network of masterminding the attacks that killed about 3,000 people.
In the second article earlier this month, Bu Ghaith warned the United States to get ready for another attack.
U.S.-led coalition forces are still hunting for the remnants of Taliban and al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan, after launching an offensive in October that ousted Taliban from power.

Not only are we hosting the head of Egypt but he is demanding we give the palestinian terrorists a state after all the wonderful things they have done. Hey Bush why don't you tell the head of Egypt "since you bought all of those missles from North Korea - which is against the treaty we signed with you why don't we just cut aid to EGYPT." After all they must have a tremendous amount of extra money in order to purchase missles why do they need American aid and than tell us how to run our foreign policy.

al Qaeda spokesman Sulaiman bu Ghaith If we had reacted in an "over the top" manner on September 12th,
Rags like Ghaith would have been killed by his own people
to prevent the further wrath of America.
Maybe next time.

America retains the right to unleash upon our enemies the most devestating attack ever witnessed by humanity. We reserve the right to turn mountains into boulders, sand into glass, water into fire, and bone into gelatinous strands of blast residue.

I was more than a little disappointed when Bush took the occassion of the anniversary of D-Day to announce he was going to reshuffle the government in order to deal with terrorism.
I seems his/out plan is to learn how to co-exist with terrorism rather than irradicate it.

What fun is a bloody Jihad without countless threats and warnings?
To: eFudd
Elmer, have you considered that its a big job to eradicate terrorists on a global scale and lobbing a few big bombs can be counter productive? You maybe disappointed at the pace, well...it helps to leave an intact society behind if you plan a regime change, and nuking them is a tad extreme, but its sure sounds good on a computer screen.

Your statement is a tad unfair. Bush and every sane individual I know realizes that we are in dire need of some reorganization. Nothing wrong with trying to repair something that isn't working.
Bush was very clear. Changes need to be made in order to go on the OFFENSIVE against terrorism. We've got intelligence agencies that don't communicate and vital information hanging in limbo.
I'd say some major "reshuffeling" is overdo. He said nothing about our having to just accept or co-exist with terrorism. I am, however, ready for some Reaganesque military hardball with anyone in the middle east who wants to hurl threats at the US or protect their terrorist status quo.

fine - - we make an advance announcement that if anything, ANYTHING, happens to US citizens - - that we will nuke the following: Medina, Mecca, Damascus, Bagdad.....

Boy, Osama must really regret that you're not in charge. You'd impliment his plan right away. You would cause the deaths of millions of innocent civilians and prove America is exactly what Osama's been trying to sell.
As it is, we have ADULTS in the WH who are actually going after the bad guys and trying in every way possible not to kill innocents.

Communique from Osama intercepted...
"We are going to be hitting you in the knee with our groin, then we will be stabbing your finger with our eye!..."

We insane non-adults will have to wait until after the next attack on America,
(or maybe one of the attacks after that,) for the sane adults to finally decide
our survival as a nation is important enough to actually do war.

Threat after threat. If a biological/nuclear attack is coming, I say all hell breaks loose because that 90% is not going to take it going down. What about nuking the entire Mid East. Seems fair. It's always a hoot when they try to vindicate their evil by claiming the US makes them suffer!! This from the very people who kill, maim, mistreat their OWN PEOPLE. Look what they did to Afghanistan and they aren't even Afghanis!! Talk about invading another's country and mistreating the people! Send them all to hell now and stop the world from suffering.

Actually, we
are about the business of waging war. Right now, we are in between campaigns. If you can't see that, I can't help you.
Look, it is in the nature of Arab rhetoric to make the wildest claims about what you will do. If the Ay Rabs ever visit weapons of mass destruction on this country, we will vaporize a lot of people in the Arab world, making many areas uninhabitable for the next 75 years. You don't believe this will happen? It must, of needs be. No American government could survive that chose not to strike back.
And when we are done with them, no one will ever mess with us again.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

First: Ay Rabs, Diaperheads, and Rags. FR in general and J. Rob in particular have policies against using racist terms on the boards. I hate the Taleban et all as much as the next guy, but I also know some good Arabs who are good Americans. They don't deserve that.
Second: As far as using nukes goes I don't think that it's possible unless we could localize a large number of terrorists in a desolate geographic reigon where the fallout would have little effect. Same goes for chem/bio weapons, the damage to the lands outside of the target area makes using them nearly verboten outside of extreme emergency.
Now, if we could find some way to nuke just Osama, I'd be all about that. :)
