The report said that some family members knew the man. Does that mean they knew him enough to know his name? Or they had just seen him around? They are not mentioning his name in any of the reports I have seen.

Good question. I am wondering the same thing. I also wonder if the composite of the "pirate" is from the sister. Looks like something one would see in a children's book.
