It's not so much the eyes, but the smile looks forced...anyone else sense this?

Well - I don't know - I have 3 sons - and if you were to look at some of the pictures that we have taken over the last 19 years - there were many forced smiles of them, too. They just didn't want their picture taken of them at that particular time.

Other pictures and videos that I have seen of Elizabeth seemed as if she had a genuine smile on her face.

Don't put too much stock in a photo. When looking at photos of myself and family I have often been struck how far off the photo is from what was actually happening. That the photograph either makes the person look sad when I know the person (myself or family member) was having a great time because I was there OR it makes them look happy when in fact they were feeling down. Also I have been told quite often, since I was a little girl, that I look sad when I am not. I figured out this was because my mouth naturally curves down when I am not talking or laughing. My son inherited the same mouth and people are always asking him what he's sad about.

I noted on a thread yesterday that the girl's eyes look "flat" in all of the pictures I have seen....her mouth may be turned into a smile, but her eyes are not smiling. None of the pictures or videos show the sparkle or exhuberance of youth that I would expect from such a pretty young girl. Of course, not knowing her personality, it's difficult to judge.

One other note (which may belong in the inane observation category)......it was reported that the shoes she took with her had her favorite color on them......blue. I don't know why we were told her favorite color, but I do notice that none of the many pictures/videos show her wearing a trace of blue.
