I see... you weren't the only one who reported it that way, seems like I heard it on cable news, too. There was also a report that the two had been separated by the terrorists for some reason. Evidently they didn't stay that way, or they hadn't been split up in the first place.

A few days before the report that Martin was being carried on a stretcher, there was a report that Gracia was suffering some serious health problems too. It's amazing that they survived for a year, considering the awful conditions of their captivity.
